1. thats a great version. Our lot play it in the set (with a bit of third stone from the sun thrown in). Its a cracking finger work - out but tends to unfortunately die on its arse with the punters so had to go
2. As I provide the PA, theres basically 2 boxes of everything, leads, kettle leads, batteries, mics, strings, tools everything including the kitchen sink and a soldering iron! We've turned up at pubs that are pretty hopeless when it comes to getting their sh*t togeather so come prepared for pretty much all eventualities. Like someone else said, the punters don't care who in the band hasn't brought something, they just come to listen to the band!
3. That looks fantastic! I have a sh*tty 4 x 10 that could do with that!
4. Thanks for that guys, really enjoyed it!
5. looks like a good price http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DHA-Fuzzy-Feeling-/150820159707?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item231d9500db
6. im finding here in Devon that whilst some pubs for sure are closing or just cancelling gigs, others are starting up and giving it a go. Sure, you have to travel some fair distances, quite often a 2 hour round trip and the fees are really tight (approx £200 for a 3 piece) but you've gotta be prepared to put in the work getting the gigs and constantly ringing round/ popping in etc, but that's a whole other thread!
7.
Legacy strings from Stringsdirect are fantastic!
yep legacys are ace, £7 a set. never broke one yet even with a pick, last 3 months a time, nickel suit me best, fine for gigging in a leary rock band!
8. all i have is a DHA VT-2 Eq pre amp, markbass compressore, boss TU-3 tuner and a dodgy 80s analogue pearl flanger, quite enough for 60's/70's cover band!
9. good times, Chic, still havent got the bugger...
10. Hi Guys just picked up a warwick WCA 115 from mansons 2nd hand but mint for 100 squid. Im pretty pleased with it compared to my Ashdown 115. At the mo im using both the ashdown and the warwick into an ampeg PF-500. Do you reckon adding a second Warwick and ditching the Ashdown would be good move if i could pick up another for similar money?? That would be running 4 ohms total into the 500w. The warwicks 400w and the ashdown 250w both 8ohms. Reckon you would hear much of a difference? cheers!
11. yeah they do that on mine, I put some sticks like sh*t in the hole and screwed it back in when still wet, seems to have worked!
12.
Get your amp moded to post EQ? My Markbass F1 comes standard Post EQ DI and tbh I've never been unhappy with the sound.
but he hasnt got a markbass so he's not happy with the sound! would say SM58 but will get laughed off this thread! AKG i guess?
13. NOOOOOOO must resist!! Bought a wicked JV P/J off Ash last year, already paid for itself several times with gig money. Top guy to deal with!
14. here you go http://www.bravewoodguitars.co.uk/ Johns based in Cornwall and is the man to go to for all things bass, he aint cheap but he is the dogs youknowhat.
15. always used to use Tracktion when i had a studio. Lovely intuitive workflow, plus everything on one screen, no new windows popping up. Mackie own it now.
