  1. ours holds a coiled lead in his hand, looks left and right and a bit confused them walks away back to his rig.
  2. Video editing in Reaper is way easier than iMovie and I've used both and DaVinci Resolve. If you keep it all "in house" in Reaper it will save time and agro with sync issues. I remember having a similar issue and solved it by adjusting the movie playback rate in Reaper. As I recall, I right clicked on the movie file that was on one track, selected item properties and adjusted the playback rate until it synced up with the audio track. I'm sure there's a YouTube video explaining it .
  3. I got one of these from Amazon, seems pretty popular, £33 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Guitar-Pedal-Power-Supply-Overcurrent/dp/B075ZT7B5F/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=Pedal+Board+Power+Supply&qid=1648712806&sr=8-5 I don't think its truly isolated (at that price) but my board is truly silent. Before I daisy chained and it could get noisy but this works really well. I have on it as follows: Boss TU3 tuner, Laney Digbeth Preamp, Boss LMB3 compressor, Pearl Phaser and a 15V Digitec JamMan looper. They all work fine. My guitarist also uses one.
  4. Zeppelins - The Song Remains The Same, great fun..

  6. Is it me or is this really good audio? I thought Youtube was pretty restricted in its ability to stream high quality audio? But to my ears this channel seems better than average? Do they just pick really good recordings? Your thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWVsjwfZvHA
  7. wow my hearing really is bad, sounded fine to me!
  8. Id go for a digital piano if you just after some quality piano and hammond organ sounds. Far less mucking about I had the M audio one and it also doubled up as a midi controller if i wanted to use vst synths https://www.promenademusic.co.uk/m-audio-hammer-88 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334352897685?hash=item4dd8fc5695:g:-fcAAOSwOPxiIzNc
  9. The only time I got truly nervous was out my very first gig many years ago. We were a terrible band, unrehearsed with the most ropy setlist ever. Our first "number" was a jam where one of us yelled out the chords, a dreadful din. However I looked up and saw the dance floor was packed with drunk punters shaking their thing. That was it for nerves and me, if they like this sh1te just imagine if we were actually any good? Now I don't really get any nerves, just a little buzz if its a good venue. I look at it as a team sport, all the others occasionally make mistakes, me included. Nobody died, just laugh it off.
  10. never go into a gig with any expectations, that way you will never be disappointed.
  11. Watched 5 minutes, toe curling manufactured tosh. Like others have said, any half competent musician could knock that old cliche alright now out in 2 minutes. saying that, playing it well and singing it with any resemblance to the original takes years of dedication made for Joe public which is fair enough
  12. Done 3 gigs with it so far this year, it's really good, very versatile and the FET/tube blend is brill as is the tilt knob if you need to add a little "heft" halfway through a song.
  13. recorded Friday through the new zoom desk. So easy to use, no effects or mastering. video edited in reaper with 3 cheapy go pro type cameras. Turned out ok for a quick facebook vid I think?
  14. For me gigging is the whole reason I play bass. If I gave up gigging I’d drop the bass like a hot potato and play guitar!
  15. yes i have all that as well as I carry the PA, but for personal use very little as I don't (like you i imagine) have the luxury of time to play with all the toys.
  16. for me personally and not including the PA 1 bass 1 combo amp pedal board including DI, tuner, comp and phaser set of spare strings (again never broken one)
  17. Very good, loud and accurate to what’s played back, neutral. Don’t have an opinion on the effects as we haven’t used them yet
  18. We got this last week. Recorded our gig on Saturday. We used up 14 of the channels, all recorded as separate stems onto an SD card onboard the desk A 2 hour gig took up about 8Gb of space. I loaded all the stems onto Reaper, dead easy. This is without any plugins. The only changes I made was to turn down the bass and up the guitar so it's not perfect but I'm pleased with just how easy this was to do. The preamps are really loud worth £800 easy.
  19. Our lot down the Ostler Inn, Uffculme in deepest darkest Someset last Saturday. Recorded direct onto our new Zoom L20, no tweaking. 14 lurverly seperate stems straight onto an SD Card
  20. I'd look into RCF at that price point.
