    As a reaper user I would still recommend Logic if you're comfortable with Garageband.

    your SSL Audio Interface should give you an excellent sound straight out of the box. Saying that I have invested in the Waves SSL EV2 VST and its bloody excellent. Lots of great advice on this very forum.

    got a TC sub n up, pretty decent and you can download all sorts of presets so there's bound to be something to suit.

    not usually, there's 2 or 3 sockets in the walls, although we have done that on a couple of occasions with no problem. nothing gets switched on all at once!

    I opted for a few 5 meter 6 way extension leads in black and put them around the band in a sort of ring so there's plenty of power sockets all around us for pedal boards, lights, PA and amps. So far so good, no blow outs yet and that's after quite a few gigs in dodgy pubs.

    I was about to suggest The Waves SSL EV2 plugin for $39 but then I see you're using the SSL Interface. I'm also using reaper with The Audient iD4, this with the Waves SSL EV plugin gives some wonderful tones. Might we worth downloading the Demo to try?
