  1. I've got these, they work great https://www.studiospares.com/monitor-isolation-pads-for-2-speakers-465110.htm
  2. Did this over the last couple of weeks with 2 of my band (guitarist doesn't do computers) and a couple of mates. Video made by another mate. I had a go at the mixing with Reaper remembering all the great advice of this very forum!
  3. We used to have an oil Lamp Projector and it was brill until it blew up. I'd like to replace it but they're expensive and a bit of a one trick pony so that got me to thinking about a modern LED projector. Not only could you project an oil wheel effect like this below but also band logo, cinematic effects etc etc. It would be a challenge to project it on a black backdrop I guess but has anyone tried using one and if so, how was it? I'd be especially interested in how powerful it would need to be and how big the size of the projection screen could go.
  4. Reaper also has a fantastic and intuitive video editing application in its fx . It’s especially good for lining up video and audio effortlessly
  5. We have had our first few bookings from July onwards in the diary. They're only half a dozen but it's started
  6. for under 300 notes, this would be my go to https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_enhanced_mj_4eb_creme.htm
  7. mines gathering dust under the stairs and I'm cacking it thinking about turning it back on! Probably stick to using my Markbass combo or even the Peavey TNT moulding away in the garage, that's the Toyota pickup of amps, it;s incapable of destruction!
  8. Yes that's very true. Some of the micro amps available today are almost the size of a large pedal. It's horses for courses. If you have a decent PA and monitoring (we have 2 RCF 315's for floor monitors) then that's great but if anyone is gigging these days with some dodgy old passive gear from 1993 then a back up amp is probably necessary! 😋
  9. I've had my amps fail on a few occasions. When this happens I just DI into the PA (RCF) and it sounds fine. In some really small venues I do that anyway and we use one sub as the desk stand. Having a good valve Di pre amp pedal would be my suggestion as it doubles up as a nice addition to your pedal board and can be used as a backup if your amp does go south. I use mine into my amp and into the PA at the same time and blend to taste (usually just for the subs)
  10. video pixelated up to the ying yang to hide the protagonists' shame
  11. maybe the zoom multi effects route, loads of choices there? https://www.gak.co.uk/en/zoom-b1x-four-bass-multi-effects-pedal/924375
  12. No gigging! Just set it up, sounds great, thanks for the reminder!
  13. ooo you got me thinking of getting my DHA VT 2 out of the drawer and putting it in front of my Audio unit!
  14. from that 1st picture, looks like Sickboy and Renton are selling it to get that days supply!
  15. I've got those TP-Link thingies in the wall plug sockets and (just did a speed test) I'm getting 37mb/ps download and 19mb/ps upload. I've managed to have a go on that Jamulus and it's worked ok. For watching Netflix, zoom calling etc I've had zero issues.
  16. How old? Mine is 2007 running el capitan and it’s loaded fine There’s a 32 bit OS version available
  17. I emailed them directly last night asking if the special offer was still available, and to be fair they sent me a link to download the full version for £17. I shall download it today and have a play tonight https://harrisonconsolesstore.onfastspring.com/mixbus-6-offer1-s398w
