  1. Dave Hall VT2 -EQ https://www.gak.co.uk/en/dave-hall-dha-vt2-twin-eq-std-bass-pre-owned-/903303
  2. This.. currently using a Markbass combo, light as anything plus DI to the RCF PA with a tube pre pedal, sounds pretty good but it's not like my SVT..
  3. just ordered some light gauge steel evo for £27 inc postage, worth a punt. If they're as good as the elixir's then it's a tenner cheaper (for now) and well worth it
  4. slaptastically fresh still after 6 months on my jazz, remarkable really...
  5. been asked to play at one of our regular pubs indoors on oct 9th. Landlord keen to get music back on. Booking of tables in advance only, 60 max, all appropriate and lawful distancing measures to be adhered to. We have filled out a risk assessment, no one to approach band, no dancing, reduced volume levels. I'm intrigued if it will go ahead. MU advice is it probably can but awaiting clarification.
  6. good recommendations on these https://www.studiospares.com/studiospares-s2000-essentials-studio-pack_449955.htm
  7. That zoom recommendation is spot on just to try out different effects and see what works for you. Crazy value..
  8. was that what Peter Hook used?
  9. Bike festival in 2 weeks time, we were headline on the Saturday (and well paid)..cancelled Guitarist in downward spiral of low, concerned about job, terrified of catching it Singer had no work for weeks, seeking therapy Seriously concerned for future of band, Drummer half jokingly suggests we go out as Drums/Bass duo on "Jazz Odyssey" What a time to be alive.. Trying to arrange meeting to discuss future for at least next 6 months, luckily we have access to home made studio and have most of the gear to record a new album, thinking that route may be the way to go for sanity and keep the band together, even if it's on the back burner.
  10. when's the keyboard coming out? See you've got the stand ready!
  11. and this just in here on this very forum
  12. check out these reviews and save yourself £100 minimum https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_pj_74ow_vintage.htm
  13. oh dear, I'm afraid I use the" loose knot" method, sacrilege I know - but as the carrier of the PA with all the cables, leads and plugs and the lights etc, I need to be able to pack up quickly at 1am in the morning I 'aint messing about! All goes into 2 large plastic boxes. Rarely does a lead break if you're careful.
  14. They haven't got any of your gear by any chance?..ie..lights...amps?
  15. possible answer? https://www.harmonycentral.com/forums/topic/1514644-digitech-jamman-stereo-split-outputs-possible/ https://www.alphabeatic.com/best-guitar-pedal/looper
  16. jamman stereo is pretty good but the drum tracks are a bit limited I had a NUX loop core which was pretty good for the money (drum tracks as well) https://www.thomann.de/gb/nux_loop_core.htm?glp=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw4rf6BRAvEiwAn2Q76iPchCOWRdTwsjdwhuDTPOiRHBsq1AuSDe0wXwKyVjSXKt2cvYliTBoCW-8QAvD_BwE
  17. £1.50 https://custom-lynx.co.uk/product/custom-lynx-6-35mm-1-4-stereo-trs-jack-cables-balanced/ or really push the boat out £4.98 https://custom-lynx.co.uk/product/pcl_/
  18. i've got one of these on my Pedal board, fantastic analogue, no loss of low end, you can pick em up for around £90 quid if you look around
  19. and they generally work great in low light (which is handy being in a band!)
