  1. actual playing starts 1:02 and it's not actually a bass...
  2. gig booked for 1st August in a social club (well outside obviously) and a bikers festival in september, both still supposedly going ahead and booked post lockdown but we shall see...good excuse to get back to rehearsing again at least!
  3. for the actual editing I can recommend DaVinci Resolve 16, it's free and by some margin the most intuitive and feature packed one I've tried out of a few. It also includes an actual DAW built in (Fairlight) so you can record in real time over your edited videos, ie add keys or extra vocals to your videos etc..and you can load 3rd party VST plugins as well, remarkable for a free version..
  4. play cowboys from Hell and you get my vote!
  5. got our first gig confirmed August 1st at a social club, outside of course, weather permitting 5pm and its a payer, so fingers crossed..
  6. If you haven't really ever connected to it then why the hesitation? Is it because you won't get what you paid for it?
  7. jeez I had to turn the volume waay down, what did you record with, a 25K Rig?!
  8. bit of the Jimmy going on in your title, careful!
  9. "has that tone we all know and love"...really? Like two cats F@cking?
  10. these have had some fantastic reviews, Im tempted myself https://www.studiospares.com/Headphones-and-Speakers/Studio-Monitors/Studiospares-SN5A-Active-Studio-Monitor_248060.htm review here https://proaudioblog.co.uk/studiospares-studio-monitor-speakers-listening-tests/
  11. First rehearsal was rough (especially me), second much better as I got such a p1ss taking from the drummer that I made sure to go through the setlist the day before the second rehearsal. It'll come back quickly for you I'm sure..
  12. I'll be giving Tom Misch a miss, saw him last year in Bristol, possibly the dullest gig I've ever been to and I've fallen asleep at a few over the years, only reason I couldn't then was cos it was standing only and I kept getting woken up by some young scallywags pushing into me...
  13. small bike festival confirmed end of september, still going ahead hopefully as all pub gigs still going nowhere..
  14. a 1000 bucks? I'm sure they're great but my DHA VT-2 EQ was £245 and I'll wager there 'aint much difference. https://www.gak.co.uk/en/dave-hall-dha-vt2-twin-eq-std-bass-pre-owned-/903303
  15. hmmm, should work. The routing config may have changed. Might be worth messing about with the input and output settings in Logic to see if that gets it working, but remember your original settings that worked with your 1/4" jack settings. Mono and stereo inputs may have changed now that your using XLR.
