  1. yeah I have to swap between Gm and C for the floyd stuff, its a real PIA to scroll up and down then activate whilst playing but I've got used to it. Other patches include a E drone for the Xanadu/Rush opening and air raid sirens for War Pigs, those are easy just press and go, sound awesome though!
  2. how do you intend to trigger the synths? By hand (tricky when playin gbass as well) or by foot? I use a digitec stereo jam looper to scroll between multiple loop patches (including synths and organs) whilst playing (think shine on you crazy diamond for instance)
  3. I concour, got my lad an awesome 2nd hand yammy kit for £250, played it a couple of times then sat taking up half his bedroom for 6 months until I sold it for the same amount.. expect something similar
  4. Like these Carl https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-RGBW-12LED-Par-Stage-Lights-DMX-Auto-Sound-Master-slave-Disco-Party-Show-Lamp/123468523563?epid=12034671014&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item1cbf4c282b:g:SVgAAOSwJShdkdds&enc=AQAEAAACUBPxNw%2BVj6nta7CKEs3N0qWwVQ0J5B8NYvh5QKMbCSCMUAFLz5w9y8h62uGs%2FzguLgZoyL%2F8%2FtyhrziFkLbDvmL8Z3xdMO3yLePsQNVncigaLIqsqkJ9v7iE%2FnfMqMv6946erOO3oWvmW%2BTMsoNM0Fo1h9OHuBMBvVYPY2BEtrlsV3TEBqBqCqzV1SBkdex%2BnmdFBPCP%2Bdw4mp2A45xK9H%2FB5SSrAFN4rsK%2FIRTyIVcbDkg9r9%2FjGgAYn%2Bxez%2FtHvJyAh8FsFPvkEkahTYmvhG4EavU3PXt3vL9v9kGx7LachJwM9GqQw0zEauSQ8VamW9ymHZY8BHtJ%2FZphGMg5liqdlcgO%2BLA%2FEkUd1F4DBi%2BIJTIBPKkO6Cs1p6JP0%2BXc6JPV22RVTcw3TLWK7Y3qOIqCDXxIvlEzBWgiFYOza9xtKXq0A1obRx%2BASl2p9x63vijsclL5FzQkxoSPG2H8fvl3C23nEKWxJtkbHyAnTeMmglo1mVsPi1X8Oox7MhLqcHumQ0wOoStorGymJvYxiqE%2BKxRpgJ2d7Ht6M%2FA%2FEbtZQFJeqog%2FXAoqtN4RwcsyeEKaCzdclFsRXu9es66v0c3UaT37WQ7eFJOU3690an1Gzf9Ye9iHM5f0A1lS%2Fv%2Fa6pbDjbfDSVLux5U3B0aZXFa26Zy3g9Ce61ALxX6xvPGOrv09T5EBejVQ%2BKS25FJqgA%2F%2FzP6n2JOt7Vey1wSNc0isgzDkasVVWmvppMCjppPdWvQmYb5aDgjMM0rcdRaJ52cWLf2S0IcnxCw1KRi4jt0%3D&checksum=12346852356333008d2f4fb84a9a8b0c2b6bb85fcceb
  5. hmmm Im no expert but as the owner of a SVT-CL I wouldn't risk it, those valves make for strange bedfellows with impedance IMO, 2 x 8 ohm, fine, 2 x 4 ohm also good, but I'd be nervous mixing them up, I had an 8 Ohm cab when I first gor the Ampeg, it was fine but I heard they didn't like it ( true or not, no idea), so I moved sharpish to the 410 Ampeg 4 Ohm and left it at that. No doubt someone who knows what they're actually talking about will be along to offer more sensible advice, great choice with the amp btw, how's your back?
  6. no signs of hum with ours, our guitarist does hum like crazy but that's to do with his sh1tty setup, cr@p patch leads, cheap cables and unloved, unserviced valve amps
  7. 70w LED, bright as a bright thing on a sunny bright summers day, honestly unless you're playing large open stages or daylight gigs, they're more than man enough.
  8. as an update, we've been using these for a while now, still going strong. The programmable options on the lights themselves are a PIA so we just use them sound to light, they are VERY bright and the strobe effect can be quite offputting. For this reason we put them behind the backline or out of direct eyesight but they still look very effective from behind, especially with a smoke/haze machine
  9. 10 years in and I'd have to count them as mates but we all live a short drive away from each other so we rarely socialise outside of the band but as we reherse mostly once a week and gig nearly every weekend Im happy enough to see them as much as I do. It's a completely different bunch to my mates in the village where I live so it makes for a nice change.
  10. soooooooooooooooo much axe for 900 notes, crazy how these are so cheap these days...
  11. my YOB bass but for 5K you need to upload a shed load more pictures in high res plus lots and lots of details to get even a sniff
  12. first attempt to use more than one camera, will try with 4 later this week!
  13. PSP vintage Warmer is fabulous, I used to have the er.."unofficial" version and it really warms up anything, not cheap though
  14. sunbeams are very popular (I've not tried them yet) and I love highbeams
  15. Love the highbeams on my P, they completely changed my views on the difference strings make to your sound. Saying that, I'm now using Elixir nanos on my gigging bass for the longevity as they're so expensive to replace. So far very happy. Tried flats, really wanted to like them (again for the longevity) but to my wollen ear they sounded dull and lifeless (perhaps that's the point).
  16. ooo i wish you could measure my DHA VT-2, see my other post re volts and mA !
  17. Hi folks Im thinking of getting one of these Donner Power Bricks https://www.amazon.co.uk/Donner-Guitar-Supply-Isolated-Output/dp/B0778GPWMR/ref=asc_df_B0778GPWMR/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310810391039&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10006950394915424542&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045321&hvtargid=pla-564314077153&psc=1 as Ive been having some issues with a dodgy 4 way plug to power all my effects off the pedal board and looks really ugly. Everything is 9V (tuner, phaser and compressor) except for my DHA VT2 EQ which is as follows "The VT2-Twin-EQ-Std-Bass has a two built-in voltage doubler circuits; this generates 24V from the existing 12V power supply. The 24V is used to supply the anodes or plates of the valves, two are used to ensure good power supply decoupling between channels. The VT2-Twin-EQ-Std-Bass is fitted with 2.1mm external PSU adaptor for use with a 12v @1200mA external supply. The user should use a well regulated external supply as the better the regulation then the less the hum when at higher gain levels. If you find there is alot of hum at high gains then the problem will be the supply is not well regulated. I have found that Switchmode supplies work well and these are standard for higher current types, so it is likely that any 12V supply over 1.2 5A will be a switchmode. The inner of the connector is the positive, there is reverse polarity protection so no harm will be done if you get it wrong." Blimey! I have no idea if this pedal would work off the Donner, anyone the wiser? Any advice, as ever, greatly appreciated.
  18. always slightly regret trading my '82 JV , it was a fine instrument, mind you the '75 fender P I traded it for is far better.
