1. ok have fitted them, pretty sturdy, came with bolts as well. However only downside is they are NOT rubberised wheels, rather hard plastic which will be fine for carpet and wooden floors but not pavements etc..Its not a problem really as I use a sack truck most times anyway, but I'd probably look for rubber wheels next time, they are however excellnt value for money and come with 2 locking wheels in a set of 4. wheels.zip

3. So my band have had the brilliant idea of having a go at the first bit of Shine on You Crazy diamond, the bit just after THAT guitar intro. I've made the backing organ samples and put them into my Nux Loop Core Pedal. So for example the Gm organ chord is on patch 5, the C Organ chord on Patch 6 and so on untill all the chords are in sequence for the length of the piece we are going to play. Problem is now being able to move between patches. This particular Nux Loop core doesnt come with a switch pedal although it has a jack input for one. So Im wondering if I get a simple switch up/down pedal whether I'll be able to switch through the samples with my foot. Why don't you just record the whole lot in one patch you ask? Because I'm concerned that the Drummer and the rest of us won't know when the chord changes will occour and I would like to be able to trigger them manually. Is this making any sense? Will another more sophisticated loop pedal do this, ie a Jam Man or something similar, ie scroll between playback of different loops with an up/down footswitch?
4. Ok had the speaker out, its a Peavey Scorpion Plus? Never heard of them, will gig it tonight, see how it goes...
5. Move it to Off Topic if you want to get some serious clickbait....
6. After fairly extensive "research" regarding castors for my newly aquired Peavey TNT 130, I've ordered these at the very reasonable price of £9.99 for 4 x 75mm heavy duty castors (2 locking). https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rubber-Swivel-Castor-Trolley-Furniture/dp/B017GLNHEG/ref=ya_st_pd_dx_rtpb_1/261-6008427-0212113?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B017GLNHEG&pd_rd_r=c055cf77-3be2-48d3-898f-9e77e4272889&pd_rd_w=k8Sjz&pd_rd_wg=hydxd&psc=1&refRID=019FPN5D5XCCQ4T62AXK I'll fit them over the weekend (come with bolts apparently) and post on what I think of them a bit later.
7. Being let down due to illness or personal crisis is perfectly acceptable but being let down due to simply getting a better offer is beyond contempt. I would never work with someone like that again, they will let you down time after time.
8. Great advice, luckily most bass players I know don't possess the same attitude as a lot of guitar players/singers
9. Wow, just scrolling through this thread and a distinct lack of Fender Precisions on everyones list, guess there's one bass to rule 'em all eh?
10. Thanks, i've ordered these https://www.audiomate.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=Monacor-MZF-8304-Medium-Recess-Handle
11. in fact everyone put in a daft offer with a certain random pence price!
12. ok I offered £11.47, got refused..will it affect my credit rating?
13. I've said it before but I'll say it again, nothing beats my Dave Hall VT-2 for adding tube warmth to my solid state amps, sadly they're no longer made as Dave passed away last year. If you can get your hands on a used one, you won't go wrong, there's an older thread here
14. Picked it up tonight.. £65 weighs a ton, side handles going in for sure...loud as hell, thanks for all the advice chaps
15. Blimey 10-nil, a thrashing of Man City vs Accrington Stanley proportions!
16. Oh dear, I have the choice of picking either one of these up for about £60, and I'm so indecisive I can't well..decide. My heart says the Peavey as I love that old US Iron but my head says the Ashdown as it has more features, is more modern, has a compressor built in etc. Its to use for smaller pub gigs where I don't really need the overkill of the Ampeg and 410 I lug around. Anyone been fortunate enough to had both, and give me some opinion? Cheers.
17. Resurrection of an old thread, I have an opportunity to pick one up for £60, should I go for it? Its for smaller gigs where lugging the Ampeg gets a bit overkill.
18. If they were actually playing that for real in those costumes I admit to being quite impressed. We cover that number and its pretty tricky (the bass runs are devilishly fast)
19. great band but that song..proof that you can't polish a turd, merely cover it in glitter...
20. "Turn that fu*&%*g bass down, you're drowning out the mandolin!"
