  1. seems a tad pricey, i picked one up in mansons for £180
  2. Chaotic Gig tonight, there's a jazz festival on this weekend in Teignmouth so the place was rammed with Rock fans, all great but the smell of weed was overpowering and I got 4 punters at some point or other during the set falling ar$e over t!t into my gear, mic stand went flying, monitor got disconnected, drinks everywhere ffs, really rattled me tonight, I don't usually mind the odd one but this was ridiculous, great atmosphere but on edge
  3. Hmmmmm, ok so Im going out on a bit of a limb here..but.. having gigged a Ray5, a Fender Custom shop Jazz and a 75 fender P. the P cuts through the mix despite weighing the most and the chunkiest neck, its my to go to gigging axe
  4. Thank god Im washing my hair at the moment..
  5. yep, all non starters for me, Id be looking for something more like "busy gigging rock covers band with 30 plus gigs booked for next year seek 50+ bass player to join, own gear and transport essential, no egos required!
  6. my favourite James gang Track, love a bit of Walshy!
  7. My (16) lad turned me on to this, and like whooa! what an absoloute stunner, read the lyrics if you can, they are pure poetry. And they say modern music is rubbish, God Im old.
  8. Ive seen them at £14 each! Surely they can't be much cop at that price?! https://www.gak.co.uk/en/behringer-xm-8500/1062?gclid=CjwKCAjwsfreBRB9EiwAikSUHYM7kkkTn25o-Vd68oVbwMwEUvjLOpeNK2gkA4fDvxmECEdD94GMSxoCLVAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds I've read a few reviews, similar to an SM58, not what I need for lead vocals but thanks for the suggestion
  9. love this one! Im having this at my funeral!
  10. thanks chaps, ordered 2 x 935's for £186, will let you know what I think of them!
  11. Dreamers, perhaps they know this one
  12. Im picking this up tomorrow! Well excited! '76 Electra Elvin Bishop with Bareknuckle PG Blues Pickups £500
  13. Just the 2 now, fender Jazz for gigging (nice fast neck), and Fender P (75) for learning new stuff (slightly chunkier neck ,good for learning then easier to gig on the jazz)
  14. Thanks, we have 3 AKG D5's for backing vocals and a guitar mic, they're great as you say and cheap, looking to upgrade a bit for lead vocals though, I think the 935 is the way to go
  15. yeah, fresh nano's really cut through the band mix, I was used to a precision so struggled to hear myself with this Jazz, but its light and the neck is awesome so I perservered and bright strings have made all the difference. Back to the OP they have an incredible range, the Sadowsky's and by god they're loud.
  16. so our trusty old EV 767 died last week, it was ok, nothing special. Now our geetar/vocal needs a new mic, I've been recommended a sennheiser e935 over a shure beta 58 (geetards choice) by a vocalist pal who knows his mic's. Anyone got some ideas? Budget no more than £100 cheers!
  17. I've got those, weirdly I couldn't get a sound I liked until I changed the strings to Nano webs, now its great, weird!
