  1. yep its polyphonic in that it plays chords as you would a piano etc, but as mentioned above its a midi keyboard so doesn't contain "instruments" in the keyboard itself so to speak but thats not a problem in garageband as that has loads of keyboards and synths included in the software for free. You can also download 1000's of other instruments effects etc, many for free from here https://www.kvraudio.com but thats a whole other thread! I wouldn't even think about using your computer keyboard as a "music" keyboard just grab a cheap midi keyboard as I mentioned before
  2. Ive used Pro tools, tracktion and reaper and now my lad has an Imac, I would say garageband is the easiest way to go, especially as you own a Mac, I also have the scarlett 2i2 which works seamlessly with it, one word of warning though, you will need some monitors/speakers or headphones for playing back what you have recorded, the macs internal speakers won't cut it! keyboard wise this is great, cheap, and again connects effortlessly to your mac https://www.andertons.co.uk/m-audio-keystation-mini-32-note-usb-controller-keyboard-keystationmini?LGWCODE=KEYSTATIONMINI;56375;6335&gclid=CjwKCAjw-6bWBRBiEiwA_K1ZDYpGjk0OvNKHjXtKFx0wIp2rgfCL-Jl_Y1I_N1RTcpWNAJgFXwPWCxoC6zsQAvD_BwE

  4. Ive used the Harley Benton sets at £4.30 a pop, they're fine, I also have a set of DR Highbeams which are better but at £30 a set not that much better, If you're changing em every 3 months or so if gigging regularly then to me its a no brainer, the difference in a band setting is negligible (IMO)
  5. and you may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?
  6. wow respect for doiung a cash bank transfer and trusting to get it delivered. I use gumtree all the time and its been 90% positive BUT its always been buying/selling in person.

  8. hmmm Jimmy has had some duff moments live for sure, but his solo work on the albums are sublime
  9. lend em the gear if you care about your band, its only a practise amp and back up bass after all, so long as you're happy knowing any damage will be paid for by the boys.

  14. Im no expert but even I can spot thats a fake 10 miles away, the tuners for starters are super wrong!
  15. But even the great big acts like Sabbath, Zeppelin, Floyd, Purple, Stones, Rush etc etc have a huge back catalogue, but they still play the same dozen or so songs from each band, why dont they mix it up a bit?
  16. used to listen to it, but it got so repetitive (Alice Cooper's Poison anyone? Pretty sure that was part of his DJ contract that it had to be played Every Bloomin' day)), gave up on it, started listening to 6 music and realised I wasn't dead from the waist down after all!
