I think it might be the fact that she's kicking off about no support for the support acts that might be grating with a few on here. Not knowing how that would work with time availability for the interpreter etc means I don't really have an opinion, but having seen some truly awful support acts for big headliners, its got me feeling a bit annoyed but I can't really explain why!

Yeah we use the RCF 310's as monitors, they're ace, and the 315's as PA speakers

Don't muck about, go for the best gear you can possibly afford, Im talking active RCF or QSC, db Technologies etc, ok will cost upfront but should give you years of hassle free great foldback, go second hand if necessary. With this sort of gear it will blend into the new PA as well

We gig this one and I just dig in with my valve pre amp peadal and valve rig and it doesn't sound right to my ears, I think the cheapest option would be a fuzz pedal, something like an MXR bass fuzz deluxe, but I can't really justify it for one number, I hear there was a lesley speaker involved, and a pick, someone recommends a digitech ventura vibe as well, there's some stuff here https://www.gearslutz.com/board/high-end/836166-john-paul-jones-studio-sound.html and here

In the real world where I actually earn my keep as a painter and decorator Im always on the lookout for something that will let me finish that little bit quicker I was aked to put this on by a client who was confident that this stuff from B & Q would be perfect for her wooden doors, Garage doors and hand rails Well I have to tell you that as far as the doors were concerned it was ok, but it would be a dereliction of my duty not to warn my fellow basschaters that its not any good for metal.
