tell the guitarist to turn the f@ck down...

Yes I believe it is. They have conveniently put one on the bottom of the battery hatch

Yes it’s a a bit dodgy for sure . I believe the origins pedals are a interpretation of the 1176 compressor? The blatant logo copy is a bit much I agree. behringer also have some form with copy, don’t think it’s stopped people buying them though

ok so I've pilled the trigger on the LY Rock stack version, had some gig money burning a hole. can find virtually nothing on them online so I'll put up some thoughts and samples when it (eventually) arrives. £87 inc tax and post. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004323116490.html heres the opening description, hope its a translation issue! Jeezzz.. "Cary 76 Dual Press Stacked Version Original Cologne Here is a brief introduction to the function knob of Cary 76, which is more convenient for brothers to adjust to their own needs."

The folks at Talkbass have been talking about these. One fellow who also owns the original says they 'aint bad. Im tempted to pull the trigger just to see what its like. Got a Boss LMB 3 which Im happy with but fancy a change. Weirdly can't find them on aliexpress now, maybe they've been pullrd? Anyone on here had a chance to use one?

I think you can save the files as mp4's in the camera and just attach a (supplied) USB cable and literally drag n drop them onto your computer.
-
you'll need the right sort of mic. A shure sm57 for example wouldn't pick up a whole band recording.
-
Its the sound recording quality thats so much more superior to your usual action cam that is the zooms selling point. The video quality is not up there with a go pro but for band rehearsals it fine for facebook etc. I found them easy to use personally.

went ok, didn't play particularly well. Had to go through PA, no backline as amp left at singers and I forgot! Laney Digbeth preamp pedal to the rescue so no problem there. New strings took a while to bed in and kept going out of tune for the first few numbers. Not good, note to self, never put brand new strings on before a gig! Not sure if I like them either, blue steels, very aggressive tone, probably need to adjust eq from the elixirs I'm used to. Crowd really enjoyed it, dancing and cheering so thats all that really matters at the end of the day. Landlord over the moon, cash on the nail etc.. back by 1am for cheese on toast and a glass of dry white vino, can't complain...
-
yes everything is mic'd through the PA, apart from bass which is DI. Our drummer sets himself up, mics his snare, kick and 3 toms plus 2 overheads so 7 mics for the drums plus one for guitar, 3 vocals and bass Di so thats 12 inputs into the desk. you could get away with 2 overheads in to the drums and maybe a kick mic if you have less inputs.

listening to that test, the difference in quality with the external mic was obvious.

so i will say i was disappointed with the video quality of the non 4K version which i had. I can't vouch for the quality of the 4K video but the sound is great. I currently use a canon 5D mk 2, amazing difference over an action cam and take my audio off the desk.

'ere, these better be good, just ordered a set for £21 on Amazon! Hopefully be here sat for our gig in Somerset!

Oh God, what have I done....
-
just sold one of them for £50. Put a black widow in it as well, Loud as hell, bit flabby though.

This is nearly as anorak as the God I love fusion thread! PS I love prog...there I've said it...

ah ok. Do you not edit your videos in something before you upload them? Something like Da Vinci resolve?

I;ve got the markbass CMD12, I use it when I don't have the room/strength to lug my ampeg stuff around. The Markbass is a fantastic combo IMO, loud as hell and light. I'm certainly happy with mine.
