  1. I have the digbeth too, very happy with it. I've paired mine up with a Cali double stack compressor clone. yet to use it on a gig so we shall see how it sounds...
  2. To be honest its a bit overkill for the Dog n Duck isn't it? But if it's available to use then I'm going to use it!
  3. Not technically amp/speaker related but... He actually went ahead and bought one of these for me to use for as long as I like with an aim to eventually buy it off him if I want to. Tried it today and it was extraordinary, may possibly have to ditch all backline, we shall see... I have a very nice drummer.. https://www.porteranddavies.co.uk/shop/kt-platform-bc2rm-engine/
  4. yes I like it. I'll try to get round to making a short video for youtube as I don't believe any exist for bass. It's quite a bit more involved than my Boss LMB 3, but first very brief impressions are good. It's pretty chunky and solid, heavy as well.
  5. . Its arrived earlier than expected...
  6. now listening to Sing to God...mind blown,,,,
  7. Just downloaded the trial version of this and I like it. Got some strings going on in about an hour of messing about. new one wav strings.mp3
  8. looks like super hans from peep show
  9. My lot at the Coach House Paignton last Friday ( Fri 17th feb 2023) doing a little Beatles number. ive got a feeling coach house.mp4
  10. for when my superb valve amp goes t1ts up halfway through a gig..
  11. whats the difference between a flanger and a phaser?
  12. As described, Sheffield speaker will need connecting, heavy but on good castors and new handles. sitting in the garage, free to a good home. Based in Torbay, Devon.
  13. This, heard one the other day, amazing... https://blackstoneappliances.com/
  14. tell the guitarist to turn the f@ck down...
  15. Yes I believe it is. They have conveniently put one on the bottom of the battery hatch
  16. Yes it’s a a bit dodgy for sure . I believe the origins pedals are a interpretation of the 1176 compressor? The blatant logo copy is a bit much I agree. behringer also have some form with copy, don’t think it’s stopped people buying them though
  17. ok so I've pilled the trigger on the LY Rock stack version, had some gig money burning a hole. can find virtually nothing on them online so I'll put up some thoughts and samples when it (eventually) arrives. £87 inc tax and post. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004323116490.html heres the opening description, hope its a translation issue! Jeezzz.. "Cary 76 Dual Press Stacked Version Original Cologne Here is a brief introduction to the function knob of Cary 76, which is more convenient for brothers to adjust to their own needs."
  18. The folks at Talkbass have been talking about these. One fellow who also owns the original says they 'aint bad. Im tempted to pull the trigger just to see what its like. Got a Boss LMB 3 which Im happy with but fancy a change. Weirdly can't find them on aliexpress now, maybe they've been pullrd? Anyone on here had a chance to use one?

  20. I think you can save the files as mp4's in the camera and just attach a (supplied) USB cable and literally drag n drop them onto your computer.
  21. you'll need the right sort of mic. A shure sm57 for example wouldn't pick up a whole band recording.
  22. Its the sound recording quality thats so much more superior to your usual action cam that is the zooms selling point. The video quality is not up there with a go pro but for band rehearsals it fine for facebook etc. I found them easy to use personally.
  23. went ok, didn't play particularly well. Had to go through PA, no backline as amp left at singers and I forgot! Laney Digbeth preamp pedal to the rescue so no problem there. New strings took a while to bed in and kept going out of tune for the first few numbers. Not good, note to self, never put brand new strings on before a gig! Not sure if I like them either, blue steels, very aggressive tone, probably need to adjust eq from the elixirs I'm used to. Crowd really enjoyed it, dancing and cheering so thats all that really matters at the end of the day. Landlord over the moon, cash on the nail etc.. back by 1am for cheese on toast and a glass of dry white vino, can't complain...
