1. Sorry, slightly Geeky question here! Does anyone know the difference between these two speakers? I believe the Mk 1's were made in Italy as opposed to the Mk3 which are made in China? Different drivers? Neo vs ferrite? The reason being Ive seen some second hand mk1's for sale at only £150 less than a new pair of MK 3's at Thomman. We desperately need to upgrade our speakers as we get constant complaints that the punters can't hear our singer (although I think thats a bit of a blessing) Thanks chaps
 2. I met this great guy in Mansons yesterday who told me he's looking for a bass player to complete a trad reggae band in Devon. Anyway heres the ad, dont reply to me! Im a regular pub band rock covers guy! https://www.lemonrock.com/smalladsingle.php?id=16172
 3. if he's the bloke with his own wiki page, then he sounds like a right arrogant tw*t, get shot and move on, plenty of fiddle players in cornwall, along with mandolinn and bodhran, cant move for em! Seriously, drinking before a gig is a big no no, especially if you're getting paid.

 5. Rob from Ramp Audio Repair does all Mansons valve repairs and he did a great job sorting and revalving my CL 01392 861216, just outside Exeter, but be prepared to wait for it.... https://www.facebook.com/RampAudio/

 8. Hi all I was thinking my 410 HLF was sounding very dark, almost wooly even with judicious use of mids and highs from the head and it got me to thinking the horn had blown. Then I see theres a couple of lightbulb "fuses" in the crossover to protect it! I know this thread has been covered elsewhere but does anyone know what type of bulbs they are, and can I order them somewhere rather than from Ampeg Direct? I suspect they may be J6 and J7 car bulbs but I could be very wrong!!! Thanks.

 11. would never take a spare cab, I have DI out on my preamp pedal so if the speaker, or more likely, the amp were to blow, I just DI to the PA. Surely everyone plays with a PA right?
 12. oh sh*t, I was talking to a guy yesterday and he said if you come across anyone selling these Italian ones, you must snap them up!!!!!

 19.
Nice - all 10+ lbs of it
Thats ok, my amp weighs 90lb!
 20.
Mark is a great guy, I've had lots of deals with him and never had a problem, what was the stingray like?
Ah man the stingray was mint! I was really tempted but a little nervous how tidy it was as im a bit clumsy when gigging, but fabulous neck and a huge variety of tones, but...the 75 P just stood out, by the way I had a go on a couple of sandbergs and they were out of this world, the quality of the parts was astounding.
 21.
the P bass looks amazing! what's the bridge pickup?
It was fitted apparently by the origional owner in 1978, origion unknown. Its very bright and punchy, seems good for slap. The small metal switch selector is I think for single coil or the full humbucker, still early days getting to know it!
