1. very true, hard to say what the price bracket is though isn't it? I did email him about that rather subtle shade of grey on the wall, Farrow and Ball, Pretty Green or Dulux?

5. saw em in Manchester last month, TBH i thought they were a bit sh*te, the support were truly awful
6.
Steve is a famous breaker of speakers, if he says they are bomb proof........
Ha ha only the one!
7. This is a bit of an old topic but I find that depending on the sort of venues you play (ie we play pubs) most landlords, if they can be bothered (and thats a whole other thread) just want to hear a half decent live recording just so they can be reassured you're not totaly sh*te on the night. Polished studio demos are a waste of time IMO for the sort of work we do. I record our gigs with a little zoom H2, then tart them up a bit in Reaper at home. By tart up, I mean a little EQ and compression. These mp3s then go up on facebook etc but could be burned onto CD for the landlords. Top tip - get a printer that also prints onto blank cds then print your band logo on 'em, looks way more professional.Thats it! Oh yes, the copywright bit, forgot, dont worry about it, the PRS wont be the slightest bit interested/organized to do anything.
8. Yep got 3 of them, great mics! Bombproof
9. ive used the VT2 with a power amp (1500W KAM) and its brilliant thanks to the EQ on the pedal It really shines through a tube amp weirdly enough.
10. I really think he is the best Ive ever heard, just the sheer emotion and groove in his playing.
11. Mates just ordered one for his son as a starter bass, and Im actually a bit jealous! £213 from Thomman, cant quite believe how cheap these are, they look amazing for the money, want one bad, its not good.
12. yummy! Trades?
13. A SWR workingman Pro would go nice with the cab, sound great and built like a tank! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SWR-Studio-220-Bass-Amp-Head-Used-vintage-Rare-Great-/331728176870?hash=item4d3c8a46e6:g:AzgAAOxyHntSYb37
14. Thats a lorra axe for the dough!
15. got to the slap then died
16. Magical Mystery Tour Strawberry Fields Pinball Wizard Rock n Roll Star (oasis) all spring to mind and the very last Seahorses single which was never released on an album but had a great outro!
17. whaaat? Thats f**k all! You should see the state of my cabs, thats a keeper if ever I saw one!
18.
Appears they only deal with warranties. But they did give me the number of Surrey Amps. Anyone had any experience of these guys?
I had an ampeg repaired by them so I think they can get parts from the states
19. we had 50 t shirts made up (black and white) for £3 a pop, sold em all for a tenner each last year these guys Pins & Knuckles, very good http://www.pkmerch.com/
20. Had La Bella Hard Rockin steels on for about a year, so 30-40 gigs, plus the same rehersals, probably no where near as bright when first on but zingy enough for a while yet.
21. Best ELO album? For me probably Elderado although love On the third day, went rubbish after Out of the blue, still have the ELO story signed by Bev Bevan!
22. we've had passive and powered subs in the past, we don't bother anymore as 99% of our gigs are pubs and 2 tops are fine for vocals. Our backline is more than loud and (hopefully) balanced - ampeg SVT and 410 and marshall 100w and 412, the drummer does go through his own 500w PA to balance out the drums. Subs are great if its not you carrying them to and from your van every gig and when you get home!
23. Great! Rod sure could sing.
24. Mansons, Exeter have a pretty huge selection of silly price geetars
