I get so tired of venues trying to push down prices. I'm even more tired of bands accepting a lower fee. If you've put the graft in and consider yourself decent then don't compromise on price. It is a straightforward equation. Good band + good set = punters=Money changing hands.

I'm a huge fan of these. The sound quality to size ratio is unbeatable.

So cool. Solid line -
Aside from the classic technique bass lines we all know and love. what were the lines you heard and just had to nail? Mine were in no particular order. I've never played any of them with a band. I just absolutely love love love the bass lines. The tone, the way it sits in the mix etc.

I wouldn't overthink it. it's just another tool in the bag to use when needed. You're a bass player. were capable of anything

I had a nice little gig a few years back with a very established guitarist I've known for a while. A drummer we didn't know so well but did a good job. My pal the guitarist dropped out and the drummer found another guitarist. Set up a WhatsApp group, which I departed fairly quickly as the guy was clearly a knob. Defending chubby Brown and other horrible racists as just a laugh. Forget the music. For me if the values don't match I cant be part of something just for the sake of it.

Selling this fabulous German-built bass as I'm looking for something a bit lighter as my years increase. This has been my go-to bass for many years and is working perfectly. I've priced it to sell as these basses are only going to increase in value. Happy to meet up close to Birmingham or you are welcome to collect. Take Care

For sale is a mint condition MA Traveler cab 400W (4Ohm). It is what it is, which is a high-level cab as light as a feather. I'm full in-ears and line 6 Stomp these days so don't use it. £245 and its yours! ONO Trade wise. I would consider a keyboard controller something above 25 keys or a Squire Telecaster Guitar Happy to meet up close to Birmingham or you can come and pick the cab up Take Care sean

Not bothered if you like the song or the format or hate jazz etc. His skill and dexterity as a player is incredible.

I can't be arsed to read each page, but Rich Brown is my Man

I watched it all . I live a few miles from where it was shot in Druidsheath in Birmingham, so loved that connection and the whole Midlands thing. The Gregory Williams character turned a bit Tommy Shelby towards the end for me. However given its writer maybe to be expected. Music was great whilst the band outcome was seen a mile off it was enjoyable

some great ideas on this thread. I have the same issue. After my heart OP last year, I did a Cardio rehab program. I've been going to the gym every other day since last August. It's helped so much. Not huge weights but core exercises and back strengthening on the plate machines. takes a while but I've seen a huge change in my ability to stand for over 2 hours with a heavy Sandberg bass. -
from the first time I heard it I was hooked. It's a brilliant bass line all the better for the fretless bass.i often play it Absolute classic

Defo invest if FRFR speaker. Lots of questions. Do you need an amp to fill a room or just into PA? Budget? What other instruments will you be playing with as the range in this clip can easily get lost if you have many complimentary frequencies from other players like Keys, or guitar?

Congratulations. You’ve made it !

It's so great to read this thread. I'm not alone! This has been a valuable lesson for me. I'm going to spend a bit of time listening instead of just working out structure and notes.
