  1. Hello all.

Due to changing to a set of full range speakers. i have for sale a completely brilliant RCF PA. As many of you will be aware RCF is one of the industry's most sort after and innovative speaker producers. Up until 16months ago i had only ever used Mackie equipment, for no other reason than it was familiar. When i ungraded to the RCF speaker there was marked difference in clarity and power. People genuinely commented on our sound, being tighter and less fatigue.

Tops: 2x RCF Art 715mk2: These have been kept in their cover since the day of purchase and are immaculate. Here is some spec:

Sub: 1x RCF 705A 700w. This speaker is a beast. Again has always been kept in its thick vinyl cover. set up is really simple. I personally run via an aux channel to control frequencies, However it is just as good linked from desk to subs to tops. Spec here:

Stands: 1x Hercules tripod stand. Really robust construction. Spec:

Pole stand is a Stagg stand, light weighted perfectly adequate.

To buy this complete PA would cost £2080 pound. This really is a wonderful pa.

For the complete kit i am asking £ 1100.

Please no Trades and clearly no delivery. Has to be collection or meet up close to Brum

  2. I'm getting really tired of lugging around our rcf sub. I run the sub and 2 rcf art712's. We have vocals guitar ,bass, keys and drums running through it. My question is if I upgraded to a set of active 15's like rcf 715's would I still need a sub. We don't play massive venues pubs and social clubs. Any thoughts?

  3. In advance thank you for listening to my rant.

Ive been playing with a few guys for years in various forms. However our drummer in a newish venture is starting to upset my equilibrium . He's a real passive aggressive personality and whilst he gives the external impression he's laid back and believes in majority rule. If he doesn't get his own way regarding song choice, set list etc he struggles to maintain the facade. For me at this stage in my musical journey, i want good times. Playing music people enjoy a few bob in my pocket that goes towards kids Uni fees etc.

I spent a few hour putting together a basic clip thing to stick on the tube to entice punter/ gaffer of venues to at least consider us. i sent it to the band, got plenty of americanisms etc in return. we discussed it at a gig, all was expectable, although i had this nagging thought in my head that the universe was not balanced. sure enough the next day he submitted his version of the same clips. lasting longer than a Lord of the Rings film.

Is there a Holy Grail of band harmony?

  4. I bought this about a year ago as I wanted a lightweight combo, which it most definitely is. A great sounding combo. Very powerful and well made. Selling as I want to fund a new bass. Comes with cover

  5. Will we ever get beyond the mindless male attitude towards females. It's disappointing to read the comments pretty much blaming the band member for inviting lewd could comments due to their clothing.

I was in a great band with a female singer, who prior to going on stage at a gig. Came up to me in tears. A group of lads had made some highly sexualised comments to her as she was walking to the toilet. It really knocked her. I went to speak to the lads and explained how upset she was and how would they feel if it were their sister, girlfriend etc. That if they have to say something, why can't they just pay a simple compliment? Why does is have to be so overtly sexualised.?I explained that as group is this how they really want to interact with other. Or do they think they are impressing each other? None apologised although all sat in silence. I watched them leave as we were starting.

As someone has said. It's really simple for me. It's just wrong. They have no right.

  6. Hello. They are usually placed where two reflective surfaces meet. So in corners and where ceiling meets walls etc. They do deaden the room quite considerably. I made my own, which allowed me to make the bespoke and to the sizes I needed. My understanding is that they have more of an impact on sound generated inside the room. I'm not sure how they effect the frequencies your trying to keep out?

This is the ones I made. Really cheap and far more decorative as you can choose fabric to suit.

  7. Ive had such similar experiences. We did a good few gigs for the Hungry Horse chain, Good payers and majority were spot on. There is one near Perry Barr in Birmingham, which we had played before. So on return visit, we were met by a new very aggressive manager. I put it down to her establishing her authority. Fine, play the game blah blah. Set up, played, people danced, people fought and people cried. A success all round. Pay time and all the excuses in the world. " we didn't book it" etc. Our guitarist is quiet an accomplished thug and at the point he began to remove a flat screen TV, they payed up.
