Sometimes I can really lock in and feel my foot tapping in time. Other times, even though I'm in time, the foot isn't going, but perhaps my head is. Sometimes my foot movement is out of time, but I haven't been.

As you can see, quite a few Bristolians on here. I live there too, but I'm a northerner really Welcome

I have a 201 on my Jazz bass and it's great value for the money, easier to find and improved the sound of my bass.

Precisions provide a real support role - sitting right under the mix. Jazz cuts through a little more, with more distinct highs and less dominance under the mix.

Aye, he's used Fender for a few years - moving between Jazz and Precisions but I think he plays mainly a Geddy Lee sig nowadays. The Spector really had bite, especially in some songs in Good Apollo 1, but the mid scoop really didn't help in some cases, particularly 'Welcome Home'. But I'm being picky, the tone was great.

He was the reason I got a Spector (from the Good Apollo I album - the tone was SO damn good!)

I've found a cool video Mic Todd is a great inspiration and I found this interesting. Hope it's useful to some!

I've never had any bass lessons and none of my family are musicians and haven't give me advice. But something that I've picked up through listening to songs and browsing the web; let the song breathe.
