  5. Alright, no need to show off LOL I just re coned my 210 today to 4ohm so I can pair it my other 4ohm cab and run them together with the yammy. I really like mine, I've just bought a GK MB200 for rehearsal and the "modern" setting is equally on a par with the GK. I hope you enjoy it.
  6. Good effort bud but I doubt I'll have the nerve to take mine apart. What do you think of it then, happy ???

    Blues?

Tommy Shannon was the perfect complement for SRV, as was Chris Leyton I guess, the perfect Blues Trio for me. Dirty Pool is one of my favourite Stevie Ray tunes with a lovely bass line to go with it. A stand out as peteb describes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFsPYyj7mIU
  8. Bad news bud, sorry to hear about it. Life is very short so don't sit on your laurels, get looking straight away of start your own band if nothing comes up.
  9. Hey all, I just bought 2 drivers of Adrian for my BFM Omni 10. Adrian was a star from start to finish.Great communication and the speakers were sent well packaged with tracking info and in double quick time. Great guy to deal with and highly recommended. Cheers Adrian.
  10. Hi Stuart, Hope your doing well bud,Where you playing in the Preston/Leyland/Chorley area then ??. Sorry to hijack the thread.

Whilst we're on a John Mayer and Pino trip there's this. Not Blues but tasty all the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IjkCDCGSMc and this, back on to a Slow Blues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQkO3SGB3So

Here's Pino doing a very sweet little walking number with John Mayer. Love this ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ91QqkS9MQ&list=FLHR3_NlpGB24M5ttBOFKArg&index=2&feature=plpp_video
  14. Cheers StraightSix My mistake guys but the Omni 10 is a 2x10 8ohm cab. Cheers.
  15. Thanks for the helpful replies guys. I'll give the 410 a try on it's own and see how we go.
  16. Nice one Clarky, I was wondering the same. I asked a couple of weeks back about running a bi amp system as my cabs are mis matched at the moment. The tumbleweed was very apparent. You did better than I did bud.
  17. I've used mine with one and two 8ohm cabs, one and two 4ohm cabs, one 16ohm for home use, 2ohm at gigs etc etc, currently for gigging I'm using an 8 and a 4 together.
  18. Basically you have to play thru' a preset sound type. The flat setting on mine doesn't work either but I doubt very much whether you would use the fuzz of flat settings anyway. You can then dial in a sound that you like and then save to the user pre-set section if you want to. That part is really handy as you can save a "mute" pre-set for silent tuning on stage. I use mine exclusively on the modern setting with the amp in manual mode and eq it from there like you would any normal amp. The Yamaha has been my only amp and I've gigged it with a Jazz,P and an Ibanez Blazer and it works really well the three of them. Like the OP says the onboard comp works well and it has extra features to customize it to how you like it. In closing, the very slight fault is probably something that you wouldn't use anyway, at least From experience I wouldn't. Cheers.
  19. I have this head myself. Had it for about three years and it's been great. An absolute steal at £100.
  20. Subscribed ...and added a nice little walking number from Pino Palladino with The John Mayer Trio
  21. I play Blues and Soul, albeit on a Jazz and P Bass with TI flats.... but I get lovely warm tone on my Ibanez Blazer with DR Sunbeams. They're really nice strings and worth some research.
  22. Bump for a price drop. Now £150 collected or meet up within reason
  23. My current cab line-up is a 4ohm Wawrick 410 pro and an 8ohm BFM Omni 10. I've been using them as a pair for recent gigs as the Warwick is to dubby on it's own and the Omni is a not quite enough on its own. My amp goes down to 2ohm so no worries there. It's not an ideal situation as the Warwick is getting more juice and I'm having to push the amp to hear the Omni 10. I'm playing tomorrow night and wondered if I should try a bi-amp jobbie. Use my Yamaha amp for the Warwick and my new GK MB200 for the omni10. I've got line out on both amps so is this do-able without a splitter and more importantly is it worth it. Also can I take the line-out from one amp and plug it into the front end of the other amp. I have a valve pre I can use if needs be. I've zero funds for a new cab yet so will this be the best option. Cheers in advance. Other ideas will be gratefully received.
  24. Sainsbury's ! Killer groover right there !.
  25. I've got the BTS system on my once passive Ibanez Blazer and It works a treat. It's been in there about three years and up to now (touch wood) it's worked flawlessly. I much prefer the bass with the bass/Treble controls than than just the tone control. I'd recommend it.
