1. Nice one Rich, I did'nt spot this the first time round, she's a bloody stunner !!!
2. Sold this last weekend on ebay, well I thought I had but he's not coughed up the readies. It sold for £99 so I'll take that for it if any one on here wants it kinda bump.
3. Thought The weight was pretty good, thanks for posting dude.
4. Thanks obbm, I have a yamaha bbt500h head and the headphone out is quite good.I also have a wee behringer mixer but i did'nt think of going that route so cheers for that.I'll give that a try and see how we go.
5. Hey all. I'm just wondering if it's ok to use the effects return on my amp for a line in for a an ipod or mp3 player for home practise/jam alongs etc. Thanks in advance.
6. I'm not a fan of level 42,never was but I can't understand why he gets so much gip.His sound was "current" when the band was at it's height.I'd have to agree,he should be up there with the greats.
7. I use these cabs for band rehearsal with my Yamaha bbt500h amp. This combo sounds pretty good especially with my Blazer and flat's,we're not over quiet either !! I reckon you could do a small-ish gig no problem with the full mini rig but a more powerful amp would be better for live use.
8. bump time
9. This book has been highly recommended before.I have it myself and I've found it very helpful for findin' the funk.
10. Thanks Protium. I wasn't thinking of rewiring as such but wasn't sure if i should do due to the new p/ups. I'm wondering what difference the "orange drop" cap would make in the kit you mentioned. Thanks again bud.
11. Hi Folks. I recently fitted a pair of S/D Antiquity p/ups to the Spunkster and very nice they are too. Being an electrical novice I was wondering if I now ought to change the pots and capacitor to suit the p/ups and also what the different values mean and what is the effect of fitting higher or lower value pots. Both the volume and tone control on my bass are 250k but I dont have a clue what that means and the capacitor is of the 683j Mylar variety and I've even less idea as to what that does. If any my fellows would take the time to enlighten me I'd be very grateful. Cheers.
12. Isn't that the one for the flux capacitor. No more time travel till you get that sorted my friend. £15,nice one.
13. Look here How hard does a guy have to work to sell a bass cab round these parts !!
14. bump for pics. Again,no rips, tears, dings, cat damage, not gigged and hardly used.As mint as a minty thing could be.
15. I played this bass just after it was finished and I was really impressed with neck.If i had a body and needed a neck I'd be onto this in a flash. Well worth the asking price I reckon.
16. Nope, sorry. Although the ones fitted are a vast improvement on the alli cones that were originally in the cab,imo anyway. I had two of these,Greeneking got the other one earlier this year.A-B'd this cab was far and above the better sounding of the two.
17. Doing my best to balance it on Mrs Rodg's kitchen scales it's a gnats chuffer over 9lb,an ounce or two at most.
18. bump for a price drop. £250 delivered/collected,gotta be a bloody bargain at that price folks. That means free delivery.
19. Hey Folks, I'm in need of a new 4 ohm cab so this lil' pup will have to go to help me pay for the new one. I had two of these and this one got treated to a set of Celestion BL 10-150 drivers. It's a major improvement over the alli cones,(well to me is was)the tone is somewhat more vintage and burpy now than before, also the cab is now rated at 600 watts and 8 ohms. It's in as new condition, well apart from the new drivers,no dinks, rips etc etcIt's never left our private rehearsal room, not gigged, never pushed and hardly used. It's a great sounding little cab for what I'm asking, the princely sum of £130 collected or postage/courier at your cost.Paypal is also most acceptable. I'm based in Preston but I'll gladly meet up somewhere within reason. Cheers folks. forgot to add, pics are available if you want 'em.
20. Hehe Hope you can make it Al,it's an invite only so any BC'ers in the area fancy a night out drop me a line.
21. Cheers Al, You're a top bloke mate. Since my Crate amp gave up the ghost I need another 4 ohm cab to use with the Yamaha amp I got of Pete.Nick Carey is saving me his Warwick 410 for me but I'm a tad short on the old pound notes is all.ATM i'm still using my other Hartke 410 but as it's an 8 ohmer my 210 is getting most of the juice so not ideal. I'll keep that in mind though Al and your a gent fer it. PS,first gig for the soul band...Fri 27th November @The Rams Head,Longton. Pete.
22. Hey folks. Here's my Fernandes APB-4 or APB-90 fer sale. I bought this one last year of BC and to be honest it's sat or should i say hung around for most of that time without getting used. It's an Ash body and 3 piece Maple neck and Maple board, there's also some rather fetching flaming in the wood on the back of the neck. The neck is very slim indeed,I guess i'd compare it to the Ibanez SR's or thereabouts, zero issues, zero fret wear, truss rod works etc etc. It's an active Bass and as you can see it's a P/J.I fiited an artec 3 band eq almost straight away after i got it,so it's Volume,Blend,Bass,Middle and Treble on the buttons. The Bridge and Tuners are Gotoh and the bridge is also a quick change jobbie. It's very versatile tonewise, a great player and not a bad looker too if i may say so.Easy 9 out of 10 condition wise and they get very good reviews over at Harmony Central. Thanks for looking.
23. Yup, The first is the APB 90 or APB 4 as it's also known.I have the same one here. They get very good reviews over on Harmony central btw.
24. Hey Massimo, keep doin' what ya doin' dude,I like it.
