  1. Replied and on hold for Shaggy pending. Hi Beerdragon, To be honest i thought i'd give them a try as Marlowe states he uses them.I got them to try on the Spunkster but i just prefer the Sunbeams to be honest, they're more me i guess.Still, nice strings though.
  2. These are supposed to be pretty amazing eh.I had a 5 string Riverhead until just before xmas. The build quality was bloody good and it sounded awesome.Shame,i just could'nt mange that extra string.
  3. Hey folks. I tried a set of HiBeams this week, dint like e'm so they're off again and back in the box. They've got less than an hours use.Snipped for 4 in a row headstock.£12 posted and paypal is good fer me.

  8. Cheers buddy, I spotted those and the other Artec ones.I cant find anything in this country tho',well not that i can afford. There's a 3 bander for sale on here but i aint got room for 4 pots. Thanks for the heads up and i'll drop Neepheid a line.Something like the one he used in his homebuilt would be perfect. Shoulda said,it's for a single humbucker.

  11. Thanks mate. I can be a lot better prepared now.I'll have a look see about the other books you mentioned and keep ya posted. Thanks again. Pete.
  12. Thanks for the reply High Score. I'm not stuck as such. The improvisation section has me a little worried if i'm honest. The performance section has bass patterns which i'm fine with in all keys. The improv section in the RGT book has backing music CD provided and you make up a bassline to suit the piece following a given chord chart which can have major,minor,major7,minor7,dominant7 etc chords(you're expected to play root,3rd,5th and 7th where appropriate) but its in one given key.Do they throw you a curve ball for the exam with a different key from the book or do they use the same one ?? Sorry to ramble on but that's the best way i can describe it. Cheers, Pete.
  13. He looks familiar, was he playing at Bassday last November in the cafe area thing ?? If it was him he had impeccably good groove.
  14. If there's anybody who's doing RGT exams or done them could you drop me a pm please.I have a couple of wee questions to ask re the improv section. Thanks in advance, Pete.
