1.
Kenny What is it you're not sure about? I posted the video link as a specific example of a great bass sound, which I really and genuinely like. Regards AM
Well if thats the case then i humbly apologise. Sooooooo if you fancy a Jazzer and you like the tone in that vid then check this one out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgIMPHGRFT8 IMO as good a quality bass as your average Fender Jazz, sounds as good and a fair bit cheaper too! Here
2. Nice one Mike, quality stuff as always.
3. All seems a bit "Fishy" to me--an "I want you back" vid, mmmmmm me not so sure after all.If i'm wrong then fair play AM but i'm on the fence ATM or am i just a bit slow.
4.
Apologies, I haven't quite figured out the quote function here. One has to take a pragmatic approach to environmental issues. That means that it is realistic to consider the possibility that, although your intentions are honourable, it is simply not realistic to believe that one can prevent all consumers from buying products with harmful products. There are masses of chemicals used every day in multiple manufacturing processes, which can harm dolphins, if they enter the water supply. The root cause of the problem needs to be addressed to see any change and the way to do that is to be realistic that consumers will still buy items treated with harmful chemicals. The chemical usage itself is what needs to change. There are two ways to do this: one is change policy at Warwick and two is change policy at European/Governmental level. Out of interest, what actions have you taken at regulatory level? There are EC Directives and Standards which govern the use of harmful chemicals. Also, have you written to Warwick and outlined your concerns? I appreciate your point, but I still don't see a convincing argument that the chemical used can enter the water supply nor any evidence that the chemical is in fact harmful to marine life and can therefore detrimentally impact dolphins. What you are essentially saying is - Warwick use a chemical, which, if used in applications which are likely to result in said chemical entering the water supply, may be harmful to dolphins. This is an entirely different proposition from your opening gambit. It would really be very unlikely for me to take a musical instrument into the sea nor to put it near water. For your point to be convincing, you need to demonstrate the link between causation of dolphin death and the chemical and the likelihood that the chemical is/has entered the water through bass guitar production and use. Regards AM
Welcome AM, and too bloody shay tBBC
5. I or should i say Prosebass just fitted a set of HB2's on my Spunky.I'm pretty sure Richard from bass guitar parts direct told me they were for Fender fitment. The BT2 looks to be the same screw pattern. I think he has a Geddy Lee at home so i'm sure he'll help you out if you call him.
6. Welcome Richieclare, Great taste in bassplayers mate, good effort.
7. Your such a f**kin noob twee boy. Oh well,if it was'nt me someone else would of I say go for it,twud be a nice looking bass for sure.
8. Mmmmmmm, not sure about the headstock shape, looke a bit dodgy to me.
9. I just had the bridge on the Spunkster changed to a Hipshot A style (thanks be to Prosebass). To my ears there's no difference to the tone but the Bass does look better for it.Like The Burpster says,if you're confident with your measuring/drilling go ahead,if not get a pro to do the job for you.

22.
lol ok i forgot about this thread and just the read the load of posts saying that i shouldn't change it, it seems like I've offended a few people. I wasn't criticizing With or Without You for being boring, I love the bassline otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it, I was just curious on how people manage to change basslines into making them their own. The bassline doesn't need to be changed, I just wanted to know how I could change it just for experimentation.
Hey dude,no sweat, you absolutely hav'nt offended anyone, your question is a good one and one that i'm sure we all ask ourselves. Keep plugging away and listen to what you do.The best peice of advise i had from my teacher was "don't overplay your lines" If you keep that in mind you'll not be far of.
23.
I agree with all the above - even the stuff that seems to contradict the other stuff. Have a good, long listen to If You Want Me To Stay by Sly & The Family Stone. You could try taking the feel of the Sly song and laying it underneath the U2 song. It could be just different enough to be an interesting interpretation of a classic song without ruining it.
+1
24. Thanks chaps. I'll get it done in time for her.
