3. Thanks for coming on the forum Adrian. Ive been playing bass for about a year so more beginner/intermediate stuff would be of interest to me.As a subscriber i feel that there should be more content in the mag, especialy as its Bi-monthly.Before you know it you've read it.I'd be happy to pay more for more content. A Jazz shoot out would be great,I'd especially like to see a review of a bacchus.

11.
But then, if you're playin at 88mph with a 1.21 gigawatt amp, won't you travel back in time..?
was soooooooooo tempted to write something along those lines,i fought it tho'
12. Hi David I Perry, i have the plans for the omni15 "tallboy" is yours that cab per chance ? thanks in advance
13. Cheers for that balcro and now sorted. replied kind sir.
14. I emailed Markbass on Saturday morning and blimey........i got a reply well done Ricardo. here's the reply "Dear Pete, firstly I’d like to thank you for your interest in Markbass. The minimum ohm load for all Markbass heads is 4 ohms, so there is not problem to run the Little Mark II with a 16ohm speaker, just you’ll have less power from the amp. Feel free to get in touch with me for any further questions about Markbass products. Best Regards, Riccardo Damiani Markbass Online Customer Service" I spose thats a good bit of info for the rest of the Markbass owners out there.
15. Cheers Funk, I use the LMk for rehearsals, luckily we have a dedicated "band"room in our percussionists warehouse and my cabs live there.I'm scouting for another band tho',something a bit more funky,so ideally im looking for something that would double up if i have to go elsewhere for a jam/audition.Thanks for the suggestion though,i'll give the Line 6 another look see. You dont happen to know which Line6 he was using ?? thought about the warwick but they're a bit f'ugly man hehe Budget bassist, Tbh they look cool and very retro but i wouldnt have another. The tone is erm ...........boring.
16. Interesting clip,thanks Kiwi.
17. With the recent and untimely demise of my Ashdown mini rig i now need a practise amp for home use and something that might double up as a portable rehearsal amp.Ive noticed there's a bigger 60 watt version of the stagg combo out, does anyone know if they're any good or not or do i avoid it like the plague.Im on a very limited budget £150 max........any ideas for a suitable replacement. I tried a roland cube, not me,dont fancy a line6,peavey,marshall or fender.I would be happy to buy used then my money will go theat bit further. my other option is to build an omni 10.5 use my LMk ll but with 3 cats,3 dogs, one of which is a 6 month old pup and sharing my amp space with the 12 year olds drum kit i'm a bit........worried Thanks in advance.
18. Man,youre an early bird--posting at 03.18 or were you late Thanks for that,i didnt know.I'll take the back today and have a look see.As the Avatar says--thanks for the info.
19. cheers Karl, glad it got to you OK.
20.
what happened to the ashdown head? there's not much to go wrong in those things, really.
Hi escholl, not sure TBH,it just kinda switched off and that was that. The fuse in the plug is OK and there's nothing to suggest anything else.I got it from soundcontrol about 6 months ago so im buggered i guess.I'll try and get in touch with ashdown next week and see what they say.
21. nope, still not got it,perhaps a quick maths lesson BF
22. there's no mention of running 16 ohm +4 ohm and the equation is a bit much for me. TBH i would still have posted to be sure anyway.I know i can run both the 16ohms in parallel to get the amp at 8 but I share my amp space with a roland drum kit and you dont know my Mrs,if she says both of them take up too much room then who am i to argue.
23. cheers hamster, looks like the mrs is going to pissed for a week or two then hehe. thanks for the help guys.
24. cheers escholl, well i could run both speakers but the Mrs says the both of 'em take up too much room. I have a small 4 ohm, could i run that in parallel with one of the 16 ohm cabs, would that work ?? she'd be happier that way but obviously more concerned about the amp !!
