It's the angled Jazz style pickup that's got me, I thought that was a Jazzman feature. Then again, the brand has only just started to induce GAS so I know absolutely nothing about them. Thanks for the replies chaps.

Hey folks, I fancy trying a Warwick Bass sometime in the near future, something like the one in this video would be nice. Can any of you experts out there tell me which one Ron Perry is using, albeit in an upside down fashion.Would I be right in thinking it's an FNA Jazzman ?? Just by way of a bonus it's very nice track too. I suppose the best shot of the bass is at 2.11 ish. Thanks in advance.

Just reading this back......That was not meant to say that you did a bad job on the former ......Great job on both, I just prefer the latter is all, a new twist and all that. I still prefer the tone on my 80 tho' hehe.

Nice work Bud, I prefer the finish on this one to the last one you did, looks cool. Good effort to you for giving these cracking Basses a new lease of life, my Blazer is the one I'd save in a fire.

Hi folks, I'll try this one again, see if there's any interest...... 80's Japanese made by ESP Kramer Focus 7000. I bought this of here a couple of years back as an inexpensive route into the P Bass sound and as I now own said item this isn't really getting used anymore. The build quality is very good indeed, solid (not ply) wood body, maple neck with Rosewood board. It sports good qualitySchaller hardware, 3D Bridge and tuners. The neck is nice and slim, very playable for those of us who like me, are not blessed with shovels for hands, very jazz like I'd say, the frets are fine, finished very well and the truss rod works fine also. The P pickup is an original JV series squier item and sounds great with flats and round wound strings just as you would expect, the bridge pickup is a double Jazz type affair, this does sound a bit thin and I never really dial it in. The two toggle switches are de wired so the controls are vol/vol/tone. The overall condition is very good indeed to excellent, there are some very minor blemishes but no chips or dings. The finish on top of the body around the control cavity seems to be very lightly cracked but nothing that really shows. This is a really excellent bass for the money and smokes the likes of the Vintage brand items in every department, I guarantee you will not be dissapointed for this price, I'd like £135 plus the shipping pease or would meet up within reason. I'm located in Preston,Lancs. Cheers for looking.

Hi Folks, I have a Tascam Usb interface surplus to. It's the older Mk1 version but works fine and in 10/10 condition. Two Mic/line/guitar inputs with software and Cubase LE bundle. I havn't really used it all since I got it so I might as well try and move it on. Comes in original box etc. £45 including UK postage seems about right. Cheers. details, http://tascam.com/product/us-122/

I tried one a few weeks back but sent it back within the week. I bought one on the strength of the reviews and a few videos on youtube. I tried it with my Tech 212,a 410 Tracie and my lil 110 cab at home and for the life of me I couldn't dial in a nice warm figerstyle tone at all on my P,J or Blazer Basses. To be honest I was really looking forward to getting the amp but was very disappointed with it once it arrived, sorry TC. For my ears both my Yamaha BBT500H and Trace AH200 smoked it in the tone department.

Stevie Ray Vaughan being described as a "w***er" ....Jeez ! I'm not referring the the OP's first post btw. Very sad state of affairs and in a thread about Blues. Anyway....... Tommy Shannon, the guy's a legend, to me at least. Carl Radle for a nice simple and "groovy" approach to the Blues Bass Benny Turner with Freddie King, Blues Bass with a pick. Some to listen too, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Jeff Healey, Robert Cray, The John Mayer Trio, Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks, Bill Perry, Bernard Allison, Chris Cain, Oli Brown. You'll find some excellent material in that lot. Stick with SRV dude, they don't come much better if at all.

This has to be the most frustrating for sale thread on here at the moment Well, for me at least. I'd love the 212 as I'm sure would the other guys who have posted. You'd have no problem selling these for a price then just buy a car with the cash, you'll only get a clunker if you trade for a car, it'll be no end of trouble and a money pit for sure. Be more trouble than it's worth I reckon. Come on, put a cash price on 'em. -
It's probably not connected but.. I always use Sunbeams but the last set I bought about 8 weeks ago sound terrible on all my Basses. They sound as you describe "very clanky" and thin, not like any of the other sets I've bought in the past. I'm wondering if there's a bad batch out there or that they might have changed them. There is none of the expected warmth that I'm used to. Just a thought.

Hey Folks, Anyone out there heard or better still tried one of the afore mentioned cabs ?? I like a Nice Warm Bluesy/Motown/Soul voice to a cab (if there is such a thing) and I'm wondering if the 810 Classic Neo line would deliver it, "Neo" being the key word here. Thanks in advance.
