  1. Many thanks!
  2. Hi all - had a nightmare gig last Saturday - used my CMD 121 H and, despite going via PA, the sound was broken and weak. In the end had to go direct via Sansamp, while using the combo as a monitor. It still sounded weak and ineffective at stage level though thanks fully the sound was great via sansamp / PA and I got away with it... .. I should add this was a loud rooftop gig so pretty challenging conditions... In the end we believe the problem was down to faulty xlr into the pa, but I wanted to rule out that the combo was also a problem. Is there anywhere I can easily get hold of a markbass cmd 121h manual just to rule out my own possible stupidity, prior to any other radical actions?! The markbass amps aren't cheap and I expect a better experience than I have had up to now!! The Markbass website is useless for such paperwork and going online drags me into all manner of ads and spamming!! Thanks In advance!!
  3. I believe its around 4 kilos
  4. Price drop to £90 as it's only 4 months to Christmas! 🎄
  5. You are quite right, though I am aware there's a cost of living crisis afoot!! 😆
  6. Okay - feeling generous and will knock off a tenner!!
  7. These are great little gadgets - xlr output too which can be very useful.
  8. Ashdown FreeBASS wireless system designed for bass.. with upgraded jack cable. Better pictures on demand! FreeBASS was the first UHF diversity wireless system designed and engineered specifically for bass guitar. Unlike conventional wireless systems, FreeBASS overcomes the difficulty of reproducing faithfully the low frequencies and high dynamics typical of a bass guitar signal over a wireless link. The result is a system that allows bassists the same freedom on stage that guitar players and vocalists have enjoyed for some time, without having to compromise on tone. Another unique feature is a Modelling control on the receiver that selects between 16 DSP-enhanced bass settings, adding sonic versatility to an already outstanding bass wireless system. Both the receiver and transmitter feature large, backlit displays and an intuitive menu system for controlling functions including frequency selection, sensitivity and muting. The rear panel of the receiver provides an unbalanced jack output for connection to a bass amplifier, and a balanced XLR output for direct connection to The PA..
  9. The classic Korg DT1 - Pro Tuner - great to see the leds dancing around during the gig!! Modest dent atop - works perfectly of course! Includes ears for rack mounting...
  10. Having recently acquired a Beautiful natural MM Stingray, this great bass just does not get the use it truly deserves. The G&L L-2000 tribute series bass guitar was designed by Leo fender and is an amazingly flexible sounding bass in both active and passive modes.. Body wood-ash - natural finish Neck wood-hard rock maple and maple fretboards G&L MFD humbucking active pickups with a volume, treble, bass, tri tone system with 3 way selector, series/parallel switch and a 3 position preamp mode switch. Incredibly versatile instrument. No dings and in immaculate condition. I think the serial number indicates build date of Sept 2019..... ?? Can deliver, within reason, in Essex or West Suffolk for fuel consideration! Am located in Frinton On Sea, but gig throughout the region.. Am open to a trade for a decent / equivalent 5 string
  11. Would this be any good with a synth / keyboard?

  13. G&L L2000 Tribute all day long - massive range of tones and really well constructed.. Seen one up for grabs on FB Market place recently out suffolk / essex way
  14. I have the 2x12 version - fab cab Also a 4 x 10 xb2 - (though may move it on as it's quite weighty with my fractured / recovering collarbone!) Genz Benz stuff is real great quality! GLWTS!
  15. Update - Used my repaired 121 last weekend in a rooftop open air gig in front of several hundred enthusiastic folk - via PA of course. Took a risk to do without backup but having listened to the videos, the tone and sound was immense. However, I definitely was nervous about whether the combo would crap out. Not the best way to perform! Tightrope with no safety net!
  16. The classic Korg DT1 - Pro - great to see the leds dancing around during the gig!! Modest dent atop - works perfectly of course! Includes ears for rack mounting...
  17. My reliable GB built Ashdown ABM Combo is up for grabs. Cosmetically needs tarting up but wonderfully solid UK built Ashdown quality. Only minor technical issue is the push switch for the pre/post eq. Moving on as I have moved to ABM 500w via 410 + 212 cabs but this baby will fill the room of any pub or club.. Great mid / entry level combo. Collection from North Essex preferred, though I do gig in the region as far as East side M25
  18. Hipshot M4 Bass D Extender fits Schaller. Mayones, Warwick, Spector. Was on my Ric 4004 since sold. Also fitted my Gibson LP Bass. Right hand Alternatively, would love to swap for equivalent to fit MM Stingray!!
  19. I did similar - bought a mandolin from a charity shop in Frinton On Sea and retuned to E A D G - it's a MAYA, in its own hardcase and it's great fun, though I really should use it more!
  20. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2359467951/permalink/10160840412777952/ Somewhere around here. I have a gig on Friday and Saturday and must confess a feeling of unease using the repaired combo now .. Will take back up ...
