I bought a second hand classic 50s after recording with one for a spell. Loved the bass so I had to have one, and one came up that had the JJ Burnell look, only problem was it also had an SPB-3 and no original pickup. It didn't last long.

It's literally identical to the SR 600 series. Great bass. I love mine.

Matsumoku build quality for £130? You won't get a better deal than that. It sounds like you'll get it playing nicely without spending much as well. Well done that man!

That looks awesome, way better than what happens when fender raid the parts bin if you ask me The tele headstock is what makes it.

The body feels smaller too. Sonically it's going to depend what pickup is in it.

Depends on context. I find the shape of a P way more comfortable though.

I adore my SR, but as has been said it's worlds apart from the BB. Play both and see what suits. If you're keeping the aria I'd swing for the SR because it's less like the aria.
