1. Hey bud, would you be interested in a tribute L2000 as a trade on this?
2. They're a force to be reckoned with.

4. I bought a second hand classic 50s after recording with one for a spell. Loved the bass so I had to have one, and one came up that had the JJ Burnell look, only problem was it also had an SPB-3 and no original pickup. It didn't last long.
5. It's literally identical to the SR 600 series. Great bass. I love mine.

7. I think I want it.I've had reoccurring mustang GAS since the pawn shop came out.
8. Great reviews, you've got me tempted to put mine on flats now.
9. P type is glorious!
10. Squier CV by a country mile.
11. This bass is fast becoming the darling of BC. sorry Maruszczyk
12. Love a DP122. congrats on a cracking looking bass.
13.
You'll be selling it soon . EDIT: Let me tell you why. You don't know what you want and when you get something that is very good, you don't find satisfaction as you are not qualified enough to know. I say this from experience, as I have done the same thing of going through lots of expensive and high end basses and never being happy for long. My solution to this was to stop searching for 'the one' and realise there isn't such a thing. No one bass can do everything, and going for several varied (and even possibly cheaper) instruments is likely to help satisfy your daily whims and alleviate boredom of having just one expensive instrument.
Preach! I'm now in a position where I have an answer for any musical style/sound I need. The only thing I may add eventually is a Jazz type, but to be honest I'm not holding my breath.
14.
Wow. That is gorgeous!
I thought the same of yours to be honest. Love the pickup config! Kinda wish I'd gone that way.
15. Welcome to the reverse headstock P bass club
16. Ahhhhhh my man cave is black and orange, this would fit in nicely.
17. Matsumoku build quality for £130? You won't get a better deal than that. It sounds like you'll get it playing nicely without spending much as well. Well done that man!
18. That looks awesome, way better than what happens when fender raid the parts bin if you ask me The tele headstock is what makes it.
19.
There's an SR500 on ebay for £300 ono at the minute. It's collection only, but travelable for me. Is that a reasonable deal for a used SR500? The bloke selling is more than happy for folks to test it out.
I'd say so, they don't hold their value too well.
20.
Can anybody here who owns, or has played, a stock Jake, just the basic Precision model without the additional pickups, compare it to a US Fender P? In particular, I'm interested in sonic comparisons, and how the standard neck profile compares to the 1.625 modern C on the Fender? I know you can customise these basses, but I've got my eye on something they have in stock!! thanks!
The neck is C shaped but feels narrow in comparison, like the modern BB range. The body feels smaller too. Sonically it's going to depend what pickup is in it.
21. Depends on context. I find the shape of a P way more comfortable though.
22. I adore my SR, but as has been said it's worlds apart from the BB. Play both and see what suits. If you're keeping the aria I'd swing for the SR because it's less like the aria.
23. Ahhh I would love this! Buy with confidence, Ben is a great guy.
24. I remember playing one of these at the NEC show about 8 years ago, was a brilliant bit of kit
