1. lovely looking bass that. Its nice to see a jazz without forward facing fret markers.
2. Low budget Yammies. Every one of them bats out of its league.
3. Nothing wrong with Basswood. Well, apart from being flammable, buts that's inherently true of most woods (IME).
4. I like the look of the Schecter Ultra VI too.
5. I like it. It's a bit quirky.
6. White pickguards Wooden pickup covers More than 5 knobs Ultra slim necks Coffee table tops 6+ strings Ugly headstocks (alleva coppolo) I'm sure there's more. *edit* blue/green bursts
7. As a recent Maruszczyk buyer I can only recommend it. My Jake is pretty good
8. This was my backup head when I played Ampeg. This got far more stage time. The most road worthy amp I ever played.
9.
Hmm, I'm not so sure. Looks like the normal TBird got hit with the ugly stick:
I think it looks better this way up. I bet it balances better too, infact my only slight gripe is that the controls are all in a line and the jack is on the side of the body. I much prefer the old school gibson look. But thats a drop in the ocean on what is otherwise a beautiful instrument. Having said that I'd still probably go for a PT4, because neither shape loos like it would be more comfortable than a P bass
10.
I must admit they do feel really 'thick' to me, and something about a plastic screwed on scratchplate doesn't feel right. I think they look nice from the front but the body shape looks awkward and bloated when at an angle, I think.
My beef with jazzes is the balance on the knee, or lack thereof. I'm much happier on a P bass.
11. The new non reverse is where it's at!
12.
I loved the B1. In fact I love almost everything the Essex boys have produced, but that? Nah. For me, it's second only to the Buzzard B2 in the 'ewww' stakes. (Although having said that, I don't like the Streamline much either.)
I like the B2
13. I think it's cool that it's retained the S2 horns. And it's no where near as daft as the B1 buzzard
14. Just noticed this on Instagram From what I can gather it's a prototype, and is being made for Alessandro Venturella of slipknot. Looks kinda cool I think. I Wonder if it's any good for metal.
15. I still think the Ebony and gold tops are the best looking of these. I normally love silver burst but it just doesnt suit the bass somehow.
16. That's gorgeous, But what was wrong with Pelham Blue?
17.
A fretless in that Amber finish would make me happy
Your bass would me me happy
18. Ho-lee f*ck that's lovely.
19.
6 knob basses aren't THAT uncommon... are they?
It's a bit of a knob fest
20. Lovely looking bass! I've never seen a transitional musician before. I have to say I prefer the old headstock. Congrats
21.
I thought these only came in 2-tone burst?
I can definitely see red in the photo.
22. I can't stop looking at this bass. It ticks every one of my boxes. I can see it on Dusty Hill
