1. Stingray killer!
2. I took a my Skyline Bob Glaub and L-2000 Tribute to my covers bands first show last night. Played the Lakland for the first set and the L2000 for the second. I have to agree that the L2000 is the perfect bass for the job, my band play a mix of covers from the black eyed peas to Neil Young. The L series meant I could prerrt much dial in any tone I needed. I think it's going to be my weapon of choice from here on in!
3.
Here's my Maruszczyk Jake... they nailed the 'burst. Beautiful.
I love this bass
4. Always fancied a flashback. Great looking basses!
5. What is the plastic cover with the holes in it for?
6. I had a Peavey nitro bass head as my backup for years, I liked it so much I sold it and bought it back twice! with a sansamp its great. Definately the most reliable amp I have ever played.
7. I have an SR605 (same as the 500 but with a solid ash body instead of mahogany). To be honest I love it, it plays like butter and has a lovely clear tone. The only thing that winds me up about it is that because it has a 24 fret neck and feels quite small, when i go for the bass break in alright now I always get 2 frets higher than I want, but thats not much of an issue, I'ts just that I've been stuck in the stone age with more traditional designs until this point.
8.
Has it arrived yet? Just been looking on his Instagram feed and he's got some cracking looking basses on there!
I'm dying to see what the two model P's and the model one that he posted end up in!
9. Wow. I'm dying to get my hands on something with a super ferrite in it.
10. 15.
Thanks Cocco. Would anyone comment on if there are any up or down sides to the bolt on or thru neck, and would the ebony cap on top of mahogany on the LTD make much difference to the tone?
You've opened a can of worms there, everyone has a different opinion. I seem to get on better with Bolt on, Ash bodied instruments (all the ones I've kept have fit that bracket). I have no idea what the reason for that is if any but thats just me.
16. I have an ibanez SR 605, which I agree isn't the best looking bass ever, but it plays like a dream and sounds awesome, same sort of idea too. SRs are fantastic instuments. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one. May be worth a punt!
17. I love my L2000. I have an Ibanez SR605 which is a pretty sweet 5er for under £600. worth a look!
18. isnt it the 70s resissue mexi?
19. Cetera on here is selling a similar ESP bass, the pickups are wired so that coils 1 and 2 have one volume and 3 and 4 have another.
20.
my old tokai ,which I sold 2 years ago is wants me back . will I be able to resist http://www.ebay.ie/i...0#ht_392wt_1344
I'd be on it like a fat kid on chips. 22. Me too. Never heard of the maker before but it looks cool! *edit* Blood and custard, my favorite combination
23. Thats lovely, are the tuners original?
24. Thats lovely. Great Simonon vibe going on.
25.
Thanks for all the comments. Feeling very lucky indeed with this. Had another long play this morning, and it's already feeling like an old friend. Now, the important question: leave the roundwounds on there, or put my usual TI flags on for that Macca sound?
Personally I'd stick with the rounds and go for the Foxton feel. If rounds are your thing I'd stick with them, I've never got on with rounds despite trying to.
