1. Does anyone have a gizmo that they can jam through headphones with but still get a good sound? Alas my 200 watt valve rig is too loud for home use
2.
Clayton lost love of his Lakland basses these days then?
Chris Lakin has made him a jazz in the same livery.
3. Perfect livery. I wonder how it would stack up to my skyline Bob Glaub. Always wanted a JV until I got that.
4.
I always wonder how many die hard passive bass only users connect directly (or via a wireless ) into an active preamp EQ section? If I put a stock Encore P bass into my Shuttlemax9.2 head I can boost all sorts of stuff and make it sound mega, get that bass home and plug it into a 15 watt combo and it sounds poop!
I run all my basses through a sans-amp bddi live for the dirt. But when practicing the same basses sound gorgeous clean through my fender rumble 15. I'm a die hard passive-ist. Active basses don't suit me. I've always loved the sound of a stingray. I've bought two and not got on with either.
5.
I I love P basses and fanned frets, the GAS did its work on me.
Best colour scheme ever.

Wow! That's awesome
7. Why did you have to be so far north? It would cost me that to collect it :/
8. Why did you have to be so far north? It would cost me that to collect it :/
9. I've had a few active basses in my time but none of them lasted that long. Simplicity is the spice of life
10.
Don't try and get a cat to bark or a dog to purr. If you want P/J then get a bass with those pickups.
+1
11. So today I plugged my 40 into a Marshall guvnor. Bridge pickup in humbucker mode. The sounds was incredible. Like royal blood on crack!
12. You really were! Huge congrats. I'm stoked for you. If slightly jealous....
13.
what kind of price is a red one worth with a hard case but no pickups, might take the pups out of my other basss though
Depending on condition probably £550 tops complete.
14. I'm not gonna be able to make it, I had assumed it was on a Sunday without properly reading the post. I don't finish work until 6 on Saturdays.
15.
Can't wait to hear the Orange rig. I have the RIC.
That was almost too easy
16. I'm in! I've thinned my herd/hoard recently but I can bring my orange AD200 8x10 rig, Lakland Skyline Bob glaub and a T-40. If anyone has a ric they could bring I'm dying to have a go on one
17. Sounds like it would. I've always been intrigued by short scales. Mostly the mustang and eb3.
18. That's gorgeous!
19.
Those headstocks are growing on me.
I agree, it's the bridge I can't get my head around.
20.
As per post above, the price for the 4 string basses range from £1,100 for the standard models to £1,250 with blocks and binding.
I missed that. It's a good price. Although the more I look at them the better looking my Lakland gets.
21. As a big fan of the Skylines I'm pretty excited about these. Hope they come to the UK and don't cost the earth when they do

Choices

Lpb and natural head stock for sure, if it was me I'd go for a parchment/mint green guard and have a tortie knocked up at the same time.
23. Lovely bass this! I had a black 78 that I should never have got rid of.
24.
... Why not make it passive? ...
+1 I don't think I'd ever part with my Lakland. I can't see that it would be a big job to do either.
25. Love this! How's it sound?
