1. I'm wanting a passive graft j at the moment. Value for money is ridiculous.

East p-retro?

Thanks Dave! I see you have a GZR and a fralin too, how do they compare? My other temptation is to swap the Fralin out for a GZR.
What do you want it to do that you can't already get from the tone controls on your amp?
To be honest I'm just wondering if it will make my Bob glaub any more awesome than it already is or take away from the awesome that I have. I currently run a sans amp BDDI, but that's mostly for dirt and garaunteeing a good DI sound, rather than tone shaping. It's probably gonna be a waste of money/time as I'm not a fan of activeness anyway.
4. Anyone got one? Pros and cons? I love the tone of my Bob Glaub as it is so what would a p retro add and/or take away?
5. I would agree with discreet, but then again what harm could a pickup upgrade do? Also welcome to the forum!
6. What's the output like on this? Would you call it hot?
7. Bump for the wonky Pino
8. Lovely bass! Wish I could afford
9. That's beautiful. I miss having an EBMM bass.
10. I have a pair of these too! The blade is my favorite. Couldn't even consider replacing them. Someone's in for a bargain!
11.
Lovely, GLWTS
Is someone confused?
12. Don't like that at all.
13.
I just wish manufacturers/makers would just try and come up with something new. It's always Jazz or Precision bass derivatives and it's not just about shape or pickup configurations. The last truly original bass I've seen was the Deimel Firestar (below) and to be honest most comments were directed at the makers choice of haircut rather than what the bass actually delivered. P
Isn't that just a 3 pickup jazz master?
14. Oh go on then. I bet they're good for metal! I'll get my coat.
15. I was the opposite. Used to love a jazz, now I'm all about the P-bass
16.
m First of all congrats on owning a Glaub...really great P basses. Second of all congrats for stringing it with rounds instead of the latest trend of using hideous flats (imo of course) I always used to string my Lakland Darryl Jones through the body (yes, the Lakland bridge is an excellent bit of hardware) - then I started to string it through the bridge. In all honesty I never noticed a blind bit of difference. Having said that I concentrate more on the music that I am contributing towards making instead of analysing every aspect of the actual tool of my trade to the nth degree!
I have a set of flats on at the moment but the sound just isn't for me. I like it but it's not a rock tone IMO. I really wanted to like it too, plus £40 down the pan. Bad times.
17. I love one ply pickguards
18. Me too! My Bob Glaub is in a different league to every MIA P I have played.
19. They'll be good! Love the look of the Joe Osbourne
20. I'm about to restring my Lakland Bob Glaub with a set of rounds (boomers) and I have the option of stringing either way, thanks to the awesome Lakland Bridge. Previously I've always gone through the body because... Well I don't actually know why, it just seemed the best option. What are the merits of each? Is it going to make a blind bit of difference in the real world?
