1.
Soo cheesy! Why is anything associated with heavy rock/metal so cheesy?!?!
Exactly that! An all black p bass with a crucifix or the angel at the 12th fret and a black pick guard would have been super cool! This looks looks like a 14 year olds doodle in a maths book.
2. Peavey T-40 without a doubt. Indredible bass, I have two
3. Being a huge fan of Lakland basses, Black Sabbath and Geezer Butler I am more than slightly excited by this bass, and tempted by Geezers new signature EMG pickup. I wouldn't own it though, really dislike the inlays and the pick guard. What do you all think? http://www.lakland.com/geezer.htm
4.
The BBOT wasn't broken but until someone came along and made it better...
But the Lakland bridge is already an improved version of the BBOT.
5. Looks like it has a few stories to tell. What a beautiful bass! Good luck with the sale.
6.
What is the distance between centres of the Lakland screws? The BA3 screws are at 20mm centres
The Lakland bridge only has 3 mounts compared to the 5 on the Badass. I don't have a BA to measure atm but I don't think it would be a simple job.
7. Also you'd loose the string though/over option.
8. I don't see what the point would be. The Lakland bridge is bomb proof and more attractive. Plus mass wise I doubt there's a lot in it.
9. Oh my god. That grain!
10.
Just got this beasty
I've hatched an evil plan for this beauty. Haha!
11. As long as a it's routed for a p pickup I don't see why not
12. I modded my much missed Japanese jazz with a set of custom pickups and a bad ass 2. It was definately money well spent.
13. Is there anyone in our midst who would be able to route my p bass for another set of pickups and build and install the necessary loom?
14. Gorgeous!
15. No worries if you change your mind hit me up!
16. No trades? I have a Skyline Bob Glaub with the Lindy fralin that I can no longer handle the neck on (wrist issue) feel like this would be the perfect replacement for it.

18.
You are correct, i went to the one of the annual alembic gatherings in 2012 in California and had a chance to try out most of the basses in their range, and the large body classic basses are quite heavy and whilst I'm 5'11" it was still a stretch to comfortably play at the first fret and reaching the tuners is still more of a stretch. Some owners go for a medium scale bass in that body style and specify lightweight tuners which does help the balance and and stretch. The short scale basses also have a tendency to neck dive and lean forward from the top of the bass but I've had mine for 12 years now and have got used to this and hardly notice. The ones I've tried that balance the best are the Elan, Europa, Orion and rogue body shapes. Jazzyvee
Are you the same jazzyvee off the alembic forum? If so your purple elan is gorgeous! I like the elan, Orion, and Europa shapes the most. I wouldn't have the patience to wait for a new one though. What do these generally sell for? I'm not after a museum piece, just a players bass, the more maple the better and the less coffee table looking the better, preferably a solid or trans black finish.
19. So I'm developing an obsession with Alembic basses, more notably the lower end of the range. Orion, Elan, Persuader etc. Just wondering what they are like to live with? What are the pros and cons? How easy are the filter preamps to get on with? And most importantly how are they in a live situation? I'm a rock player and I need something that keeps up with loud guitars, Jason Newsted playing one gives me hope, but then I don't have his budget.
20. What do the controls do bud? Gorgeous bass *edit* Google told me! Low pass filter, pan and volume
21. Peavey T-40?
22. Any trades? I've wanted one of these forever and have no cash at the moment
23. Haha! That's my old hard case, CR stands for Caesars Rome if anyone is bothered. Gorgeous looking bass by tgec way
