1. Pick guard and pickups ruin it for me.
2. I like tort on sunburst, I have a sunburst P with a mint green plate that I quite like. I'm thinking about getting either a burst or a black one though.
3. How's she handle? For £273 surely you can't go wrong.
4. Really want one of these! I've been curious since the pawn shop came out, but this is more affordable for the curious.
5. I've had a few jap fenders and found them lacking in the pickup department, in comparison to other fenders anyway, I had a 70 RI precision and a 66 RI jazz from Japan that were a lot lower output than similar Mexican offerings, it's a simple fix with a new pickup but obviously not many people make mustang pickups.
6. What's the pickup like in it? I always find jap fenders to be lacking in the trousers.
7. I need this in my life, the Mrs wouldn't go for it though, same colour scheme as my Lakland
8. Every musicman I've ever had has had Schaller BM type tuners, fenders all seem to be different.
9. I dare say that's a lot of bass for £100!

G+L basses

The L2000 is for my money more versatile than a ray, similar feel. Not a pretty maybe. A good players bass. Try the SB-2 aswell!
11. Lakland Bob Glaub, there are two for sale at the moment on here, best P you'll get without getting too expensive. Especially if you get one with a Lindy Fralin pickup.
12. That is what dreams are made of!
13. I'd recommend Lindy Fralin. Got one in my Lakland. Amazing!
14. I have the same bass, only with its original pick guard, with the Lindy fralin pickups too. It's amazing. I can't fault mine at all. For me the neck makes it, maybe you'd be better off with a Duck Dunn?
15.
Hmmm... could be persuaded......only as I'm mainly using the Fenderbird these days
If you're serious drop me a PM. No pressure though, it's a big decision.
16.
Haha. I might try that. edit : open air gig this weekend
That monster puts mine to shame! How long have you been cultivating?
17.
My 90's reissue DC Bass Fat Mike for the win...
Lovely looking DC
18. I know the pickups, they're the bill Lawrence designed ones in the grabber that I used to have. I loved the tone on that. You don't want to sell it do you?
19. Good looking bass.
20.
Problems with ipod and imageshack lately...let's try that again...!! I have a Bob, quite fancy a duck for a backup, it makes so much more sense with the black scratch plate.
21.
Just grow a beard . It will be cheaper .
Already got one! Not to their standard yet mind.
22. I've always got GAS, going through a ZZ top phase, always fancied an explorer for some reason.
23. Has anyone got an 80s explorer bass? The one with the grabber pickups. Or even a new one? What are they like to live with? I fear the new one is just a pointy T-bird.
24. I agree. Can't beat a p-bass!
25. I played one of these on tour for 14 gigs. It was amazing to be fair to it. Not a bad word to say about it!
