1. This thread is giving me terrible explorer GAS. Has anyone ever produced one with two P pickups? If not i may have to commission one with them..... Or a pair of di marzio model ones.
2. I love that. It's black without being too gothy looking.
3. Budgie wouldn't have been right without Burke Shelley either.
4. I like these too, wonky pickup or not. How much freedom do sandberg give you? If you wanted a P neck would they do it?
5.
Sorry I think that's the one I won last week. Arrived today and a quick clean up and some new DR Hi Beams on it................. I know people say they are good but i'm absolutely blown away - it just sounds incredible.
Pics?!
6. I suppose you could always put a set of thunder buckers or something in it. It has that awful bridge aswell though.
7. Always fancied an explorer. I fear this may just be a pointy thunderbird though. Pickups look the same. The original explorer bass had the pickups out of the grabber, which are amazing.
8. Love it! Wish I had a trade. Fantastic bass for £250.
9. I'm pretty sure it is. I don't mind a skinny radius but I need that wide nut. That's the only thing that puts me off the bass. I'm sure if you wanted to go US you could get a fat neck.
10. I've been fancying one of these too, just the J neck puts me right off.
11. I've had various Jap and Mex fenders in my time, and every one I've felt needed at least some modding (mostly due to the weak sounding pickups they all came with).
12. So this is short scale?
13. Is this basically a twin pickup modern looking 3001?
14. At the moment I love the Gretsh G5440LSB. It's a long scale hollow body beauty. I'd really like a white falcon but that's not gonna happen.
15. I want it! Shame I already have an orange 8x10 rig.
16. Just spotted this beauty online, it's an electromatic but costs over £800. Anyone played one? I want to know how it stacks up against a Jack Casady for instance.

SOLD

Why not put passive pickups in it and change the controls to vol/vol/tone/tone?
18. Thank god! I've been waiting with baited breath

Yamaha BBs
Thanks! Also, someone needs to buy this, for the love of god: http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/yamaha-bb1600-vintage-bass-guitar-1985/113263596 '85 BB1600? I'd take it if it wasn't in London (and if I didn't just spend £450 on a cab/amp)...
Is it modified? That looks like a knob where the switch should be.
20. Saw one of these in dawsons yesterday. Really want one now, but the black one.
21. Also how about Glockenklang?
22. Aguilar are great and really should make their way over here a bit more.
23.
Yeah, design is certainly a bit special. Unfortunately there are not a lot decent quality mid price 32'' basses out there so can't be too picky about the design...
I doubt it's particularly well put together. Why 32" out of curiosity?
24. I wouldn't have bothered making it in any other colours. That looks fantastic!
