New Bass!

The more I look t this the more I want to steal it and put some mike lull pickups in it.
2. Just been checking these out. They look pretty cool. Does anyone on here have one? They make me think of les claypool.

NBD

Leave it! Looks amazing.
4. I like a jazz, but they just dont sit nicely in a mix to my ears.

New Bass!

I've always liked the ice man. Good score!
6. Never seen these before. Is it basically a 34" mustang/P hybrid?
7. Cant wait to see this finished. The amount of times I nearly bought one is ridiculous.
8. I've always fancied one of these. What's the tone like?
9. What's the pickup like on these? Every other CIJ fender I've had has had terrible pickups.
10. Supernaut, snowblind, iron man, NIB, war pigs. Whatever really!
11. I like that! What's the nut width?
12. That's lovely! Ive always said if an affordable decent mockingbird came up I'd buy it. You certainly have a lot of bc richs
13.
The blue'ish one? apologies, im colour blind XD does look nice, just not fond on the colour but would make a PHAT Fender/Gibson cross i'd imagine BSB
That's the one! It would have to be natural, have a maple neck and a jazz control plate (not bothered about a scratch plate) and a P neck but yeah, I think I could get comfortable with one.
14. I was perusing the Lull section on bass direct yesterday. I quite fancy one of the jazzes with the T-bird pickups and a P profile neck.
15.
Shame you're in Cardiff... I've a Warwick Streamer LX 6 that I'd have swapped out against a T-40... but I'm 300 miles away.
I'd be happy to post if you are? At most it will cost us £30 each there and back. Depending on weather 300 miles away is north or not.
16. So what is the best way not to spend very much money on a 6er?

Bongo

I had a bongo, it played like butter. To this day I wish I could have got on with the complex preamp.
18. That's gonna be beautiful!
19. Feeling a little 6 string curious these days, but I don't want to buy one and not be able to play it/not like it. What can I do? Anyone fancy temporarily trading a 6 er for one of my stable?
20. That's a beauty! I could never pull it off (or afford it) though.
21. I butchered and sold that jazz unfortunately. I think the grabber is a keeper though. I spent a long time looking for it and a lot of cash importing it. The jazz is one I should never have sold though. I'm game for a two man bass bash though. I'll send you a message now.
22. I want one big time! The slider has a really serious rock tone. Being made entirely of maple it has bags of harmonic warmth, bite and growl. Sort of like a P only better in every way in my opinion. Here's a pic of mine next to my old jazz. The neck is pretty big, weight is good. Not too heavy but by no means light. It's the only Gibson bass I've ever owned or played so I don't really have a lot of comparison. The pickup in the slider is a master piece IMO, they are also in the explorer bass so I'd love to get my hands on one of those too. If you weren't so far away I'd come have a go in a heart beat.
23. There's something about this bass. I think it's the simplicity. I approve
