1.
I bet that sounds stunning. I'd love to have an Orange 8x10.
Thanks man! She is a monster to be sure. Blows the Ampeg out of the water and is lighter too. It's still an 8x10 though but I genuinely wouldn't be without it
2.
How would it compare to the neck on the US Jazz? less chunky, more?
Its a baseball bat compared to my 60s jazz
3. The delicate sound of thunder. Two T-40s (normally the sunburst one though) through a sansamp into an Orange AD200 and OBC 8x10. Absolute monster.
4. I've just got a black one, she's got an SPB-3 in so obviously the sound isn't original but everything else about it reeks of quality, the only question is how long will it take you to get used to arse backward tuners?! Mine is great! I've owned a 78 US and a Jap 70Ri and the 50s is my favourite.
5. T-40
6.
Not a real Fender but one i made out of bits i had laying around, sounds and plays like a dream and yes something about a black p bass
Love it!
7. My new Precision, I've owned a few but this is the first one that's kept my attention. It's a Mexican classic 50s, or it was. The covers are now off as they got in the way. What a bass! It's got an SPB-3 under that chrome too
8. Hipshot do one, its not a direct replacement but it's pretty much the same just it's top loading so re stringing is a little faster. Ash
9. This is gorgeous!
10. This is one helluva frankenbass. 27volt preamp?!
11. Thanks everyone I'm probably going to try to find a later blazer or roadster with the proceeds. I don't know what it is with me and slab bodies
12. Provisionally sold!
13. You know you want to! If you come down would you mind bringing your JV P?
14. Thanks everyone. The only thing I dont like about this bass is the slab body. I just can't get on with it at all. If it doesn't go I won't be too upset to be honest. It's a tone monster. I just wish it had contours. The more I look at it the more I don't want to let it go
15. Now sold. Thanks everyone

17. Up for sale is my 1982 ibanez blazer. I bought it a few months ago from gum tree. It's all original and in really food nick for a 1982 bass, the exposed grain body is a little tarnished from sweat and has some buckle rash on it but the neck is perfect. The bass is 100% all original though, everything works as you'd expect it to, no scratchy pots, truss rod works, tuners work. The tone this thing produces is amazing, not far from a p but with a little more growl. I think this is due to the ray esque pickup placement. No pics ATM but I'll get some up tomorrow via photobucket. I want £225 for this which I think is fair for the condition and rarity of the bass (you don't see many of the early one around) it comes with a gig bag and I'm happy to post at buyers expense I'd rather a sale for now. Trades may become an option later but I have my eye on something for now.
18. No problem. I'll stick a sale thread up and let you know
19. What sort of trades are you looking for dude? I love this! Would my 82 blazer and cash be of any interest to you?

21. Fancy an 82 blazer +cash?
22.
Doubt you`d have a problem selling the Blazer - fairly sure I know a Basschatter who`d jump at that.
Whos that???
