1.
I've found no need to adjust mine. Treble at 10 o'clock, mids at noon, bass at 2 o'clock - set and forget, make small adjustments to bass/treble as necessary... I wouldn't mind if it just had those two eq controls!
I've set mine to 12 O'clock all round and never really touched it. The simplicity is great if you're a stick to one sound kinda guy.
2. I love my Orange AD200, It has a lovely tone and is super easy to use, the only thing I would say holds it back is the EQ which doesn't do a lot, however with a preamp pedal you don't really need it anyway. Then cabs wise its up to you really, I am a big fan of the 8x10 sound but having said that they are massive!
3. I like this! If only it had a P neck.
4. I have to say I really like your PRS
5. I use a sansamp with mine, theres a bit more EQ in that. The basic AD200 tone is great though, its a bit of a one trick pony granted, but so is a P-bass
6. If you shoot me an email addy I can get them to you right now. Weight is about 8lbs I think. Lighter than my T-40s anyway.
7. That's a nice P, would you fancy a 51 RI as a trade?
8. Up for sale or trade is my 51 RI P bass (tele looking one). I got it in a trade fairly recently, it's been well looked after, still had the plastic on the scratch plate when I got it and there isn't a mark on it anywhere that I can see. I rehearsed with it a few times and just found the tone a little weak. I have thought about getting a new pickup in it, which i probably still will if it doesn't go on here. It has a shielded control cavity and an orange drop capacitor fitted, other than that it's as it was when it left japan, even still has the original strings on it (I think). I will get some pics up later hopefully, or pics can be via email right now. I'd rather a trade if I can, I'd be interested in P-basses, Mustangs, P/Ps, P/Js, Jazzes (but it would have to be the right one) Jap Crap stuff, pretty much anything passive, not necessarily fender shaped. or a straight sale for £450 (enough to buy one of the above).
9. DiMarzio Model P for me, especially if you can find an old one
10. I run mine pretty hard to be honest. I have a dirty driven sound provided by my sansamp and running the gain fairly high.
11. I like Tolex, if I had my time again I think I'd have bought my AD200 rig in black instead of orange though, the orange is cool as f*** but its stinking already!
12.
Took me a while to find one, but i finally own what i think is one of the coolest basses. No5 of 200.
That is beautiful! What is it? I know its a rick 4001/3 but apart from that.....
13. I'd be interested to know about this. The blacktop Jazz looks like an amazing bass, just has the wrong neck profile for me.....
14.
Fixed it for you!
Amazing! however I'm fairly convinced it was the other way around.....
15.
Does anyone fancy selling they're ad200? ;0)
Ermmmm no. I still have the 6550s it came with, I know im due a re valve soon though and wondered if the KT88s would change the tone at all? I know the Matamp GT200 comes with KT88s in it and is quite a similar amp, to look at any way.
16. Obviously no one does...
17. When I picked up my first 8x10 the owner pulled it out of a micra!
18. Does anyone run KT88s in an AD200? Does it make much of a difference?
19. I'd love a 3001
20. I'm intrigued by these too. One p/u per string must be pretty interesting.
21. cocco

Sold.

Wouldn't fancy a 51 RI p-bass?
22. Nah mate, AD 200 and OBC8x10. Having owned both I know which I prefer
23. I almost agree, you need an 8x10 IMO
