1. Ahhh I want one! Would you happen to know how the tone compares to a grabber?
2. 4 STRING. WHY ARE WE SHOUTING?!!? LOUD NOISES!!!
3. In keeping with my cull of basses I no longer play really, up for sale is my T-bass. I bought it of Gareth on here for £550 in december of 09, I'd like £500 for it now. Here are the details. Trace Elliot T-Bass Special Edition made in 1998, part of a run of 100, with the following features: Body -Tulip Wood Candy Apple Red Neck -3 Piece Maple and graphite Fingerboard- Rosewood Nut-Graphite 34" scale 24 fret Full details/review in Bassist December 1998 All original and complete with OHSC £500 These things were well over £1000 new and are definatly worthy of that price tag, They were made by Status Grapite for a good couple of years and you can still buy one from status for way more than what this is going for. Pics via email for now. Can't find my camera lead Ash
4. Recently I've discovered that I like Gibson type basses more than fenders so I'm having a bit of a cull of my less humbuckery stuff. With that in mind first to go is my beautiful CIJ Jazz (JB66-US), It was my main gigging bass for 3 years, has been toured, had beer spilt on it, been dropped, been attacked with sand paper in a drunken weekend long recording session and god knows what else. To sum up this is NOT a minter, however it plays like butter, has a great Geddy esque jazz tone thanks to it's one off Shed "Spirit Of The Radio" pickups. Its been looked after over the years by Eltham Jones and Dave Dearnley. It also has a Badass II installed. It comes with a Kinsman hardcase that has had CR stencilled on it and it's original Japanese US pickups but not it's original bridge, (I donated that to Kids In Glass Houses) I paid £500 for it off ebay. I know I've devalued it over the years what with the sanding and all but I'd like £450 for it with both sets of pickups and its hardcase. posting to anywhere is an option at buyers expense and test drives are welcomed, Im in Pontyclun (roughly 10 miles from cardiff) pics and more info to follow or via email if you're impatient.
5. I am the first owner of this bass. It plays like butter and I can tell you it cost nearly double what it's here for. It really is awesome. Please be nice to it whoever it ends up with.
6. Throw some pics up! Welcome to BC
7. I've always fancied one too. Not a fan of the white finish though.
8.
You already know the solution to the problem, don't you??? Here it is. Cheers.
Eric stop taunting me! Is that the one you're selling? Also to the orange and gibson unbeliever come have a play then make a judgement, I promise it will shut you up
9. I think I got mine from all parts. Or maplins
10. There's a link a few pages back to where you can get the originals from, both mine have been replaced with generic type ones and its made no difference
11. I'll sell you both if you want? They match and everything, both CAR
12. Hi all, I've become disenchanted with a fair few of my basses since I made the change from my old Ampeg gear to my new Orange gear. With the ampeg stuff my Stingray, Jazz and SB ruled the roost but since it's gone and I've gone all Orange I'm finding that the 3 of them although still sounding bloody good, don't have a patch on my Grabber and T-40. So the question is what to do? Do i sell/trade the others? I don't feel very attached to any of them, none have any sentimentality or anything, but what do I aim to get to replace them? Something passive with atleast one humbucker but what? A ripper? A thunderbird of some description? Another T-40? What else is out there that might fit the bill?
13. Ash/maple for me, although you've got it now.

NBD!!!

Like it
15. And an extra j pickup, mostly to use as a thumb rest
16. I'd go Antigua and rosewood
17. I really want it. The more I look the more I fall..... I don't care about the signature anymore.
18. I love the simple stuff, bank robber and clampdown are great fun to jam along with.
19. I found this thread to be educational and informative. I bought a Hofner because my band sometimes and on occasion cover helter skelter, I'm a bit gutted to find that the beatles used stuff other than the hofners and ricks.
20. Good luck finding a black eagle. I've never seen one in the flesh, or for sale, not many were made I don't think. Im an eagle lover too! I dont understand the pickup choice though, krist was all about proper Gibson buckers as per the ripper and RD basses. Also surprised it's not a ripper shape. Not that I'm not stoked that it's an RD!
21. The only thing I don't like about this is the sig on the headstock I can't stop looking at it!
22. Isn't the bass he's pictured with an ibanez?
23. I meant to you jigster. Seems really really cheap for such a rare commodity
24. Don't do it man! You'll regret it as long as you live
