  1. Body neck and pickup are still here! Bump.
  2. I wouldn't have bought a 5 string Warwick streamer S1, that was an expensive mistake!
  3. It's a lovely bass too GW! I like the dingwalls as you know. Blocks work on that because it's more J shaped than P, and is very contemporary, but I don't like blocks on standard p shapes, case in point this one. The duck dunn Lakland too looks clumsy to me, even more so with the matching head stock. I just think dots suit them better.
  4. I like this! I don't think you'll find a better 6 without spending hundreds more.
  5. f***ing sweeeeeeeeet!

    Love this! Very JJ Burnel
  7. Isn't that a Super J though?
  8. Blocks have NO place on P-basses!
  9. I have the CAR version of this. Gorgeous bass!

Jap 66 with dots and bound neck, CAR with matching headstock, slightly dodgy sand paper attack that doesn't look too bad x
  12. If I was to do this it would be purely in the pursuit of dirty tone, but without loosing low end thump. I've tried using a distortion pedal through my orange gear but to little avail, the low just went home and took it's ball with it. I'm imagining to get what I'm after I'd probably need a 100w valve amp and a 4x10 to compete with my AD200 and 8x10? Can anyone recommend a guitar rig for bass to bring the dirt? I'd have thought an orange 4x12 would have the right tonal characteristics, a Marshall B cab would probably do too but I wouldn't know where to start with the head? JJ burnels hi watt tone would be great but those old hi watts aren't cheap. Maybe a Marshall JCM or an Orange?
  13. Hi guys, I've been listening to Death From Above 1979 and I wondered if many people played a bass amp and a guitar amp simultainiously? If so how does it sound? Is it worth the extra ball ache of carrying 2 amps and cabs everywhere?
  14. Buy with confidence! Matt is a top geezer
  15. Thanks for that it really is a lovely bass, just doesnt quite provide the thump my T-40, Stingray and Grabber do.

Me too, I miss you 'round here fella, we all do. Currently celebrating your memory with a nice glass of red
  17. Tredders is a great guy to deal with. Im a little bit besotted with that Jack Casady, wish I had some cash!
  18. This used to be mine, it's a blinder of a bass! I shifted it for the same reason it's being shifted now. Its a killer bass, if you like that sort of thing
  19. Nice looking grabber, mine has schaller bm tuners though :s
  20. Find me a cheaper Ritter!
  21. With all the fittings and screws. It was on my bongo, I don't need it.
  22. Due to money woes I'm getting rid of some stuff. The bass is a fender US body, Mexican neck with full hipshot hardware. I still have the Mex chrome tuners and the US (I think) pickup too. Mex neck with sonic blue headstock, rosewood board and 50s style fender precision decal £50 US body (sonic blue refin) £100 Black hipshot ultralite tuners £30 Chrome mex tuners £15 Black hipshot toploading fender retrofit bridge £20 Black Warwick straplocks £10 US p pickup (I think) £50 Black single ply warmoth P scratch plate without holes for pots £10 White 3 ply p scratch plate £10 Or £250 gets you the lot! There must be £700s worth of parts here.
