1. There's more to life than P's and J's dudes!
2. Any more attendees yet?
3. That's a LOT of bang for your buck!
4. Gaf I've done that so many times! Damn p basses and their awesome looks, I find them pretty unplayable though, steve Harris, Sid Vicious and paul simmonon are to blame in my case.
5.
where do you see cheap T-40s? The minute I see one I will not be able to resist it, so best if I don't see it but...
There's been a couple of good ones on here recently, Bassassin let his go and Flat Eric thinned his herd by a couple. I think all 3 went for under £500 each which for the instrument you get, I reckon is an effing steal!
6. I'd go Warwick probably, aim for a $$ but failing that anything active. Trace T-basses are great too if you can find one. Unless you want a trad looking bass in which case I'd aim for a p or an active j of some discription. There are better playing basses than fenders out there though. Ooh I almost forgot the almighty and cheap t-40, or an aria SB from the 80s? Both are very versatile.
7. These are very different P-basses, the RW has a baseball bat of a neck but quite a thick, full sound thanks to the SPB-3 it's equipped with, the duff on the other hand has almost a J shaped neck, the p/j config obviously creates more sounds than a single p can. I'm not sure if the body shape is slightly different too? But yeah, in a nutshell they're very different basses.
8. out of interest, are you replacing it? or sticking with your P-basses?
9. £607?? Odd price.
10. Damn that's a sweet ACG!
11. Thats a quick turn around nick! Shame I just depleted my savings with a shuker really
12.
not sure why I haven't put my custom up:
Does the handle looking cut out serve a purpose? Edit or it it an aesthetic thing? I always wondered that about the gem guitar too
13. I paid £1,200 for mine, list price was £1,350 but it was a stock bass, I'm sure Doddy or niceguyhomer could give you a more realistic ball park figure :)
14. Thanks man, the single cut is a beauty to play and the headlessness really adds to the whole experience. It's my first hand built bass too, so at the moment im all sorts of infatuated with it and planning another build once I've replenished my savings from this one.
15. GAS! Btw ive nicked your pics for bed time fun
16. Pics for the love of god! Pics!! In the porn section too!! Now please!!
17. This and the White one in the for sale section have given me serious ric gas. I'm almost regretting the recent shuker buy....... Almost!
18. I almost ordered a shuker jazz, yours is sweet! I especially like the sparkle colour, what pickups do you have in it? Mine was gonna have a beefed up version of the 4 up headstock, like a 70s strat in conparisson to a 60s one, but then I got my single cut.....
19. That's gorgeous! What's the spec?
20. That is a new one on me too! I bet it plays like a dream
21. Oooh they're some nice basses, is that the 05 Ltd edition ray?
22. I have roto sound and fender endorsements, I don't use fender stuff apart from my CIJ jazz which I had before the endorsement. I love roto strings so that's good. It's handy too, strings are expensive!
23. That's a cool looking bass! How old is it and what's the neck profile like? I imagine it's simular sounding to a ray?
24. That's one of the best looking rics I've ever seen! Never seen this colour scheme before. It's lovely
25. That Is Lovely! you gonna keep it long?
