A very reluctant sale of a fantastic bass. Bought locally a couple of years ago as a backup/alternative to my Dingwall, I’ve ended up using it exclusively for recording, so it’s in the same very good condition as when I acquired it. It has a few minor nicks and scratches on the body and headstock which I’ve attempted to show on the photos, but it’s excellent for a 20 year old instrument. I’m selling it as unfortunately it’s just a little too heavy for me to stand with for long periods due to some long standing lower back/hip issues. Photos can be seen here; https://photos.app.goo.gl/Tq9VcMsmU2ctZRHx9 Some details/specs; Swamp ash body with quilted maple top in cherry burst finish Maple neck with birdseye maple fingerboard 35” scale length 0.75" (approx 19mm) string spacing Bartolini pickups 3 band EQ with adjustable mid frequency selection via dip switches 4.5 kg in weight Serial number 5568, so production date of 1999 as per the Lakland website Original G&G hard case in tweed with keys and Lakland paper slip Currently strung with La Bella low tension flats for that greasy 70s vibe! Sound clip here; https://soundcloud.com/jellyknees/mowdown I’d prefer to sell it directly in person locally (happy to meet somewhere within roughly a 50 mile radius of Wirral), but I’m also open to shipping with insurance at the buyer’s expense. I’m also open to trades for another (lighter) 5er of similar quality/spec but I’m definitely a try before I buy kind of guy, so again it would have to be located fairly local to me for me to consider this. Thanks for looking!

The 3 Songs You Never Want To Hear Again - Ever
JellyKnees replied to Chezz55's topic in General Discussion
Seasons in the Sun By Terry Jacks - yeah, that's just what the world needs, some grim dirge about dying. When it hits the key change is where the real pain starts... Angelo by the Brotherhood of Man - sub ABBA cheesy dross in horrible nylon flared trousers. Anything by Iron Maiden - get in the sea with your skreetchy widdly-widdly cliche ridden vomit inducing 80's NWOBHM drivel. -
The Raven is undoubtedly their magnum opus. The MIB and La Folie both had their moments, but it was pretty much all over for me once Jet started using drum machines.

Cheers dude, downloading right now...

How about this fella? Just don't mention Brit Rock to him. He hates it. Bigly. But he is cool and handsome. So there.

Massive outdoor Festivals? don't get it
JellyKnees replied to PaulWarning's topic in General Discussion
The only really big one I've ever done is Womad (about 8 times now), and I think it's fab. I have without doubt heard some of the best music of my life there. OK, it's all jolly middle class etc, but it's very family friend and mostly tosser free. Toilets are pretty damn good, it's very well organised and the prices are fairly reasonable IMO. I imagine going to a rawk/indie type festival full of boozed up teens/twenty somethings would be an entirely different kettle of kippers however... -
Bought a very nice EWS Tri-logic preamp off Pete. Excellent comms and a pleasure to deal with, in spite of a slight delay in delivery courtesy of the good old Royal Fail. Cheers Pete!

Both, depends on the bass...

Mods: Could Bass For Sale threads be separated into 4 and 5+ strings?

I've often thought this, also it would be good to include a tag for fretted/fretless too... -

Far too clever for me... although I bet those jump suits of Elvis's didn't smell good! -

Undoubtedly Prince. He always seemed pretty on top of his game to me. -
Music (muzak!) in shops. Worst offenders!

Send them an email, I did. It was actually a bit quieter the next time I went! Probably sheer coincidence of course. I despise muzak, especially at bloody christmas. -
Sold a BF Midget T to Ash, good communication, smooth transaction and a pleasure to deal with.

Gen 2 Barefaced Midget-T, the one with the adjustable tweeter. Comes with a Roqsolid cover. I bought this on here early last year as a stop gap when I was unable to take my Big One to rehearsals when transitioning between vehicles. I only used half a dozen times over a couple of months and it is now surplus to requirements. It's in immaculate condition and fully functional. Prefer collection, or possible meet half way within a reasonable distance. Will consider posting at your cost, which I think will be between 20 and 30 quid. Cheers for looking.
