1. All quiet on the Western front?
 2. Played a wedding reception in Daventry at Fawsley Hall (what a great venue. The carry from van to stage is less than 10 yards!). Superb! Really enjoyed it, and a first in 10 years doing weddings, we got paid a bonus at the end for being "so good!". Free beer, free food, a full dance floor, good wages and a bonus, pretty close to the ideal gig really. Our singer gave a pretty young thing one of our band business cards, but I found out later that she really wanted his phone number, but the card has my number on it! I'm looking forward to the call...................
 3.
Formerly Redmarley, now tucked away near Dymock. N. Glos mini bash sounds fun, but let's not derail the thread!
I'm a member of Dymock Grange Golf Club! Its a small world............. Cheers, Bob
 4. I really would like this bass to go to a good home...................................
 5.
Sorry to hijack this thread - Mokl, where is somewhere between Malvern and Gloucester? I live in Ashleworth just past Hartpury, and right near Tewks. I never knew there were other BC's from literally just around the corner from here!
Matt is from Redmarley (I think!), I'm from Tewkesbury (used to be Apperley), as are a few of the other Basschatters. We could have our own North Gloucestershire mini bass bash! Bob
 6.
I really really loved this bass but the truth is, I'm much more comfortable on a 5 banger. It's the nicest Jazz I've ever played and Bob's a top bloke to deal with - buy with absolute confidence.
Many thanks for your kind words Alan! Bob
 7.
Homer could have twins!
This was Homers bass! An only child I'm afraid................
 8.
Are these the right images from Jon's site:
Yes thanks, thats the one. Looksa bit more like the real colour in those photos. Cheers, Bob
 9. Shuker Classic Jazz, with hardcase. This bass was made only a year or so ago, and is shown on Jons site, where the colour is actually closer to the mark than my photos depict. Its a beautiful baby (or cornflower) blue, with a maple neck and nice rosewood fingerboard with abalone dots. Straplocks are fitted, and a Hiscox case is included. I assume that the body is alder, but have to admit I dont really know! All I do know is that with the active Delanos (with passive switch), it sounds brilliant, very "powerful" for want of a better word. The neck is slim and fast, and the whole bass is light and balances well. The only mark I can find on it is a tiny depression on the headstock, which is so small......... Again, I'm only selling to try to make some space and raise funds for incoming basses, so dont really want trades. I would like £895 firm please. 10.
like Bob needs more basses, eh?
You know me well, grasshopper! I really, really need to cut back/make space/pay off some of the mortgage, so I'm not looking for trades thanks (unless its really interesting.......please stop me, its a disease you know...........dont.......need.........more........basses............) Cheers, Bob Next up for sale will be my light blue Shuker Jazz.
 11. PEDULLA RAPTURE JJ bass, with red Sims leds and hardcase. This is another of my favourite basses, which I am only selling because I have too many (favourites!) with more on the way, and need the space/funds. I have a Thunderbolt as well, but that has sentimental value (25th wedding anniversary present from my better half) so will never go. This is a black bodied, twin jazz pickup model (all Bartolini electronics), with the added bonus of a beautiful birds eye maple fingerboard with abalone inlays and side fitted red Sims leds. These look amazing in use, and really make the bass look classy on a darkened stage. She is very light and comfortable, with a super neck, and in really excellent condition. Straplocks are fitted, and a Pedulla fitted hardcase is included, which again is in vgc. I took this bass to the last but one Moffat Bass Bash, where it was very well received, and I think surprised one or two who hadnt played Pedullas before with the build quality, tone and playability. I bought this new about 3 or 4 years ago, and did maybe 20 or 30 gigs before letting it have a rest. I look after my basses though, so its got no marks or damage. 12. More photos..................
 13. Absolutely mint ACG RECURVE, with green Sims leds. The time has come for me to part with some of my basses, as I have far too many for one person, and more on the way. This bass is very personal to me, having been specified by myself and crafted by Alan at ACG to perfection, and it is drop dead gorgeous in every way. Fact is though, along with several others (details will follow......), I dont play it much any more, having another ACG, yet another being built and many other lovelies that get there first. You can find some brilliant photos of its build progress on Alan's site, but I hope you can tell by my basic efforts that the top is the most gorgeous redwood (which was, I understand, really difficult to work with), the body is black limba, and the wenge laminated, assymetric neck is capped in redwood and wenge on the rear. The fingerboard is acrylicised, highly figured quilted maple. The body finish is gloss, the neck matt and Sims leds were fitted to the edge of the neck as the build progressed (not retro fitted). These are green, and are very subtle, not being laser bright, but enough so you can see them on a dark stage. The whole bass is very light, I would guess 8lbs or so, and incredibly comfortable to play. ACG/East filter preamp and soapbars are fitted as usual, with a low power led system which lights up when the battery is on the way out. A Hiscox hardcase is supplied, straplocks are fitted and even Alan's lovely little tool kit is there! 14.
Just out of interest, the young singer with a passing resemblance to Danny - and also called Thompson - is he Danny's son by any chance? It was weird hearing Green Gartside. His appearance may be middle-aged pirate, but his voice was just the same as it was in the 1980s!!
No, it was Teddy Thompson, who is the son of Richard and Linda Thompson, so still an impressive lineage!
 15. Another day, another deal with Tom. Brilliant. Enough said. Bob
