2.
Lots of interest but no sale yet type bump. Having tried BassTool's NT Thumb at yesterday's North East Bass Bash, I'd consider a trade for one of those bad boys
I knew it I saw a little bit of dribble from the side of his mouth...... Haway man Rob, your collection is just gonna keep improving at this rate and you can only play one at a time, dunno how you are gona decide which one to pick up . Have a bump on me, and having seen this beauty in the flesh I can confirm this is an absolute steal at a fantastic price - someone will be very happy with this great bass Good luck with your Thumb search
3. Bought a superb TC amp from Ben, mint condition, mint bloke. Buy/sell with confidence, top gadgee Ben Johna
4.
Very nice :-) Do you have any trades in mind? I've a beautiful Overwater Perception Deluxe for sale that I could trade? Cheers Rob
You liked my Thumb didn't you Rob
5. You didn't mention this little minx whilst trying to flog me the MusicMan fretless Mr Hunt..... Last week I would have been round to try this with the money in my pocket. This week............ I found myself with no band
6.
Nice Wal
Imagine the look on my face when I walked in and saw that beautiful Wal with a £375 price tag on it! I was just about to race to the bank when Warwick Hunt spotted my dropped jaw and pointed out that the tag had been switched from one of W11ATO's other 'For Sale' basses.....
7. That'll be me struggling with one too many strings
8. Brilliant afternoon, great to put faces to names and some stunning gear on display RK's Overwater (and Martin it's luthier!) the two Letts basses (plus the concrete one!) W11ATO's Wal amongst his other impressive basses ('me wife has bags and shoes, I have basses' he told me ) Gaz Howe's Status and Warwick Hunts purple Warwick and lovely Music Man fretless to name just a few. WOT's latest Fender also deserves a mention, superb bass and those TKS cabs.....WOW!!!! If I was going for ultra lightweight but powerful and VFM backline these babys would need serious consideration, great when played next to - but when we stepped away from them - even better Met and listened to some great players, but highlight of the day for me was Kev Charlton's masterclass on his double bass - made me feel like getting back in the car and burning me gear..... Class!! Big thanks to WOT for organising a great afternoon out, cheers everyone Johna
9.
Excellent Michael Is the above available for purchase?
Purchase?? I was hoping they were going to be in the raffle..........
10.
I'm planning to go too as I missed the last one.
.....and I'm hoping to be coming along with Gaz - shifts permitting I'll bring some basses, an extremely small amp, and my stageClix wireless for peeps to try out. Johna
11. I've now been using this unit almost every weekend for just under two years now, and it recently stopped working at the transmitter end, the knuckle joint appearing to be the problem. Plugging a lead into my bass again was weird After contacting the company at "][email protected] their technical depts Gerda Posch asked me to send it over to the Netherlands where the team would check it out. It was returned to me two weeks later - they replaced the transmitter with a new one and also a new battery....for NO CHARGE!! Superb service
12. I make it a 1984 model, nice to see some more pics, can't see them on link
13.
Any interest in a trade with the 4 string version of this?
He once had one of those as well...... Great guy to deal with is Jimbobothy And this is an absolute steal, I'm amazed it hasn't gone Have another bump

15. Ah bo**ocks incredibly I just found out about this bash at 5.30pm today - gutted I missed this after enjoying the previous one so much Hope it went as well as last time, if not better Nice one WOT
16. One word Jim..... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Bump for Jimbobothy's brainstorm - top bloke to deal with
17. Bump for a lovely bass, with one too many strings for me unfortunately Jimbobothy is a great bloke to deal with too, I got my Thumb from him Good luck with the sale and best wishes for 2013 Jimbo
18. I remember standing in Whites music shop in Sunderland in the 70's, looking up at one of these on the wall and a little bit of dribble was coming from the side of my mouth... I also remember it as being the single most expensive bass I had ever seen at the time those pictures took me back, I've never seen anyone playing a Kramer locally and often wonder who the lucky buyer was. That bass of yours is in amazing condition Have a nostalgic thank you bump from me, and yes, I still can't afford one
19. That looks like it's going to be one amazing bass, lovely woods on the body, great stuff Any ideas for pups and onboard eq yet?
20. Well, after over a years use I thought I'd report back on this little beauty. Got to say that this piece of kit has been nothing short of brilliant IMO Batteries still going strong, still works perfectly every weekend. So far so good
21. Really nice playing but I've got to ask just to satisfy my curiosity... Was that recorded as you played - I like the way it's filmed with two camera angles - or did you overdub the music to the shot? The recording is really good and I wondered if it was live to the camera(s)? If not, how did you record it?
22. Just been on your website and looked at your gear No wonder you don't list it under your sig that's some guitar selection Great band, and in Mickey Krystal a future superstar surely Enjoy the tour
23. Phil Gould may indeed have put a bit of beef on, but I bet he's enjoying the view of Yolandas backside better than he ever did with Mark Kings
24. I've had over thirty five years experience and find it harder than ever to nail new material, but I put that down to age - my brain does not take stuff in and remember like it used to, I must get rid of those aluminium saucepans..... Presumably you are talking about what a lot of us do and that is to play a cover of somebody elses tune, if that's the case, read on. If it's original material, you'll have to somehow tailor the following Learn the bass part... Obvious reallyl, but specifically I mean learn it so you can play it without thinking - yep, it's hard work, I have sat for HOURS in my kitchen going over and over one song but it's the only way to do this Then.... Learn the vocal - the lyrics, the phrasing, the tune, the lot. Now, verse first... Play along to the original and hum the tune as you play the bass line. Do this and visualise the lyric but don't try and sing just yet, you need to focus on the brain split between bass and vox. Do it over and over until you feel you can join in with the singing. Then.....speak it through at first so you get the phrasing married with the bass. Any tricky timings you find between bass and vox, go over them again and again So, once each verse is mastered, move on to the chorus and do the same Put the whole lot together and then sing along with the original until you have it nailed. Finally..... practise singing TO your audience - by that I mean try not to look at your fretboard as you sing, try not to look down, try not to always have your eyes closed. Get these final bits right and you've cracked it! Two of the hardest songs I can think of that took me yonks in the kitchen were 'Rat Trap' by the Boomtown Rats - totally counterpoint bass/vox and that lazy Geldof drawl too - and 'Lonely Boy' by Andrew Gold. Best of luck
