  1. +1 here 😁 As said above they have increased dramatically in price. I have them on four of my basses and think they are brilliant πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Those are great value and an absolute doddle to fit and use. GLWTS πŸ‘πŸΌ
  2. Nice job Sir, looks great! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ πŸ˜‰
  3. I'll tell you what you've missed Mick..🀭 *PICS!* ...or it never happened πŸ˜†
  4. That's a great video of the company we always called H and H πŸ₯΄ I had no idea they were still going, or so instrumental in creating a TV amp used worldwide πŸ‘πŸΌ I'd forgotten I also had the 1x15" bass combo 😁
  5. I had the same model, plus the 100w slave amp, and a WEM copycat going out to two (rarely seen) 4x12 HH dual concentric columns 🀭 Cool looking stuff back in the day πŸ˜†
  6. Bought a Hipshot Dtuner from David, absolutely perfect condition and superbly packaged. Great and prompt comms from a great Basschatter, deal in confidence πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
  7. Bought a preamp from Brian, great chap to deal with, swift response to PM's, complete with pics of Post Office posting receipt. Arrived superbly packaged and in excellent condition too. Deal with confidence, thanks Brian πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
  8. What are your tone control options/ideas? 2 band eq or 3 or passive? I can recommend John East's MM 3 band preamp to compliment that pickup, I used both in my 'BlazerRay' renovation documented on here, they are a fantastic combination but would require a battery compartment and side jack socket πŸ€” Bass looks great tho, nice work! πŸ‘πŸΌ
  9. Beauty πŸ˜²πŸ‘πŸΌ Somebody is going to love that πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ GLWTS
  10. Thats looking great πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
  11. Stunner πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Lovely work that man πŸ‘πŸΌ
  12. Quick update 😝 Three years to the day I completed this bass 😲 I'm pleased to say it'll actually be getting a chance to be played in front of an audience at some point during this coming year - Putin permitting 🀬- instead of being picked up and played in the living room πŸ™„πŸ˜– Since retiring two years back, I've persuaded three old bandmates to have one last hoorah, resurrecting a band the four of us were once in. We played our final gig on March 1st 2000, 22 years ago. 😊 Looking forward to finally gigging the BlazerRay after completing it 3 years back, I'm also pleased to say its still in one piece and hasn't split.. πŸ‘πŸΌ πŸ˜€

  14. Those pole pieces! Oh , hang on, just zoomed in, there are screws in there! πŸ˜†
  15. @Brian45 bought a pedal from me, great comms, swift payment. Top Basschatter, recommended πŸ‘πŸΌ
  16. Something about these beauties that gets me every time I see one πŸ‘πŸΌ Takes me back to the 70's when every weekend me and my mates would visit our local music store Whites. I recall one of these was the most exotic - and most expensive - basses I'd ever seen hanging on the wall in there. And I was always met with a blunt 'no' when asked if I could play one... πŸ™„ Obviously they knew I neither had the skill, nor the funds to be worthy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ GLWTS πŸ‘πŸΌ
  17. Hers yes, deffo not mine 😝 By the time she bought that she'd got to know John the manager as I was always dragging her in there most weekends. He actually got three in and picked the best figured wood one for me πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Yup, that was a healthy discount, and he went onwards and upwards creating a huge musical business up here πŸ‘πŸΌ He supplied us with a (then) state of the art PA, came out for several weekends to sort it, and announced he'd set up a 'website'.. None of us knew what he was on about πŸ™„ The rest, as they say.. πŸ˜€
  18. Came across the original receipt!
  19. Here's my Westone Superheadless, bought by my wife as a surprise Christmas present back in 1985. It was very well used three and sometimes four nights a week around the social club circuit both here in the Northeast and well beyond, and although the original hard case is testament to those gigs, the bass has held up well. Like putting on an old pair of trainers, as someone once said 😝
  20. That. Is simpleh loveleh πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Great job, and deffo the right thing to do exposing that lovely grain IMO πŸ‘πŸΌ
  21. Been off here for a while, still got it @Andyjr1515 superb work as usual πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ πŸ˜‰
  22. As usual... Superb job Jez πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Beautiful πŸ‘πŸΌ
