Fender MIJ '86/87 with SDQP and Badass II and with removed controls. '07 Squier VM. No mods apart from removing controls '94 MIM P-bass Special. This has the MIJ's original pickup and a Duncan Design Jazz pickup. Used to be active but the preamp broke. Also with removed controls

11. i've got the new neck now so i'll post a pick later. im having the neck pocket ajusted this week so ill post a pick of it then when its in one piece. then its off for a respray to white. the neck i got is only a cheap one, 'dr parts' i think is the brand. got it from dangleberry on ebay for £51 delivered, it seems good enough for what im aiming to achieve. edit: matt, you will like my grabber when im done with it.
12. ive done one
13. ill bring mine to the bash if you're going.
14. yea the white one. great bass esp for the money
15. i've owned my fair share of £1k+ basses and they were all sweet especially the stingray and DJ4. Just over a year ago i swapped a pink mij fender jazz i had for a mij p with obbm. i've always wanted a quality pbass and now i had one. i immediately fell in love with it. now i've just bought a vm pbass for £100 and i just cant stop looking at it and playing it. probably the best £100 ive ever spent. i dont think i'll ever change from a p bass. they're all i need. leo got it right pretty much first time. on my list now is a lakky duck dunn and some kind of p with a sb body and geddy lee style neck looks wise. i would like it to be a normal p bass neck. so possibly a job for mr shuker in the future. every p i have, (3 now) i've taken the volume and tone pots out. i just dont need them. thats one of the reasons why i love them because of their simplicity. does anyone else love them as much as i do?
16. i personally prefer this mag to the abm equivalent
17. where can i get one from?
18.
got those kyuss cds yesterday, thanks very much. can i have absolution by muse? same paypal payment cool? barry
yea sure no probs
19.
.....so you left the Badass on it then?
on your P i had off you? yes and no. i took it off because i wanted a bridge cover then realized the cover got in the way and the badass makes a big difference. by then i had sold the BA that was on it but i had one on another bass that i dont play that often so swapped the bridges. ive put a SD QP in aswell and have taken the vol and tone out so its straight to jack. its a beasty sounding bass and is my favourite bass ive had. i'll never sell/swap it.
20. Well, I say used but when i received it earlier today there wasn't a mark on it. The previous owner only had it for 8 months with only bedroom use. I changed the dead rotosound strings for new fender 105-45 and have only been able to play it through my Ashdown After Eight practice combo. It has a Duncan Design P pickup but it's not the same as the Pete Wentz model for some reason. The bass sounds and feels like a Precision, it's simple and does the job. The pickup sounds fairly growly and I'm quite surprised by this as i normally hate stock pickups on fenders and squiers. Build quality is good for what the rrp is. It stands up to the mim fender range imho. I will be changing the bridge to something chunkier in the near future, the Badass 2 on my mij p really makes a difference to tone and sustain. whether i change the pickup is still to be seen as i want to play it through my sunn asap. I'm definitely going to use this live. I've now also taken the volume and tone controls out. I paid £100 for this on ebay and I felt a little guilty giving the guy just £100 for this fine bass. any questions just ask as i'm not very good at reviewing. BASS BASH MARCH 2008

has anyone got a 4 string shuker pbass?
22. im a little concerned with the 175 ovno but as its the guys first time i think he's having trouble of letting go of ad trader habits. mods well. i just bought a maple board p neck so i might stick that on it for starts. obvs gonna get a better bridge, also take the controls off it and see if my shell scratchplate fits.
23. yea sure no probs.
24. for doom and sludge stuff i'd have a p-bass 4 string. you simply don't need anything else edit: and an all valve head
