I have the predecessor, the Solidbass 600H, and it also has a significant white noise hiss, even when nothing is plugged in. It’s clearly audible through the headphone output and DI output. Could this be a grounding issue? I bought it second-hand, so I don’t have a receipt for warranty.

How did this work out in the end?

Where did you the white pearl replacement pickguard? Is it standard stingray size or special ray4 size?- 61 replies

I've got a OC-2 which I want to sell but the label of the back was ripped of by velcro tape. I'm certain it was a black label, but is there anything else I can prove it was made in Japan? v

Bought a Micro Pog from Paul. Arrived safely here in the Netherlands. Very friendly and quick communication. Pleasure to deal with. Thanks Paul!

I just tried the White Sub the other day and it was rather disappointing in comparison with the Walnut version I tried before. Don't know why they sounded so different. The white one had less character, less Stingray tone. Hardly sounded like a Stingray. The Walnut nailed the Stringray tone for almost like 80%. I'm gonna try the Walnut version again some day.

Another vid I found on youtube. Sounds a bit better. Not as good as in store, but these Subs are awesome. http://youtube.com/watch?v=-v5wgeUTMX0
I bought the the ray34 ca in black a couple of days ago and it is just brilliant. I'm thinking of putting a review up.
That would be great

I'm not sure if it has the same circuit as the Singray 2EQ. The only thing i got to got from the Ernie Ball forums is;
the body woods and the level of hardware are where we saved. These will be made in the same factory, line as the SBMM premium line. We have a lot of experience "behind the scenes" and really have great relationships with the best parts makers and suppliers.
I found this video, but sounds quiet rubbish(probably due to the recording). When I tried it in the store it sounded awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3wqiv9QQ_M

I really loved the Sub Walnut I tried at the shop the other day. I've owned three real Stingrays and this one comes pretty close. Like 80% of the real sound. Good enough for me at this price level.

Hi there, I'm playing in two different bands. And I want to start using the same amp (Ampeg v4) for both bands. The only downside is that I have to move the Ampeg v4 twice a week by car to rehearsal. Will a Roqsolid cover be enough protective or should I get a hardshell case? I'm leaning towards the Roqsolid cover. Much more affordable and much less weight. What do you guys reckon?

We are Dutch, so I was wondering what British people think of our music. Is it any good? I recorded "Better for Us" with a Rickenbacker 4001 Chris Squire and "Little by Little" with a Geddy Lee Jazz bass. Be aware, it's not even close to prog rock. It's more like pop/rock. Feedback much appreciated. Cheers!
