1. With an extra set of 5 new JJ tubes! I'm looking for 350GBP.
Five 12AX7 valves provide the true, rich, tubular tone only a genuine multivalve signal path can generate. Tube Drive Control gives you precision command over just how hot those babies burn. Input peak LED, input pad and bright switch, mute function (to avoid those annoying clicks when you switch instruments mid-song), balanced line out, effects loop, three EQ knobs, nine-band graphic EQ, and tuner out give you all the pro flexibility you expect from Ampeg. 19"W x 1.75"H x 10"D. 9 lbs.
I'm based in Holland.
  2.
Got more Jazz Basses than is decent . . . . . but what is it? MIJ? Just curious, honest!
It's MIJ indeed. It's a Geddy Lee.
  3. Lovely bass. Can't afford it though. I only have a jazz bass(*) to trade and I'm based in Holland, so that wouldn't trade very easily. Good luck with the sale! * http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/1199/dscn1689ug5.jpg http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/797/dscn1666cb0.jpg http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/3179/dscn1673st9.jpg

  8. New in box. Bought it to use with a electronic band where I had to use a lot of pedals, but decided that band was not for me. 180 quid. Carl Martin Octa Switch Carl Martin effects are the result of a team of highly experienced music-industry professionals creating what they love best: quality tone in stunning effects. Featuring superior sound quality and features not found on any other guitar effects, Carl Martin pedals are the perfect blend of original design and classic functionality. When Carl Martin decided to create a baby-brother for his world famous Combinator, the details of simplifying an already simple effect controller made his head hurt. So Carl enlisted the help of Thomas Guldmann, and the Octa-switch was born. The concept is simple….take your eight favourite effects pedals, plug them into the eight individual loops (all true-bypass gold relays) on the Octa-switch, and then designate what effects you want connected to each of 8 banks via the worlds simplest and smallest DIP switches located over top of each of the eight bank switches. Thomas chose DIP switches because they are just eight individual on-off switches in a tiny tiny package. So if your effects are plugged into Loops 1-8, you simply turn the DIP switch ‘on’ for each of the effects you want in Bank 1, and then Bank 2 etc up to Bank 8. You can use one or all of the effects in each bank, and once you have designated a bank, do us both a favour and cover the DIP with a bit of tape to ensure nothing happens to the DIP switch when you are not looking……like an errant hand, or a flood of beer. The Octa-switch is mono-in and mono/stereo out, with a choice of a buffered signal or not. The unit is powered by dual 9v batteries, or a regulated power supply like the Carl Martin Big John Power Supply, and is housed in an all metal case with heart-stopping (ok, well almost) graphics. So, the same basic options found in the digitally controlled units the famous guys are using, at a fraction of the cost!
  9. Taking its roots from legendary British guitar amplifiers, the English Muff’n recreates their majesty and classic tone with spot-on accuracy. Rather than approximating these amps like "emulator" products on the market, the English Muff’n employs vacuum tubes, including a glovered 12AY7 cascading into a 12AX7, to produce true Brit-valve sounds that are full of richness and natural saturation. You’ll come to rely on this amp-in-a-box...a bloody masterpiece! Looking to get 80 quid for it. Pay by Paypal or when pickup when you happen to live/be in Holland.
  10. Need a review on this one. I really wanna play one.
  11. I find the tracking quiet bad. My technique is a bit sloppy. Muting your notes a bit, will help tracking. Remember it's monophonic, so one note at a time. Tracking is at it's best with my Rickenbacker 4001v63. Much better than with my Geddy Lee Jazz bass. Hardly any latency though, so that's a good thing. Anyway for this price it's definitely worth checking out, but don't expect miracles. I use it with my Macbook(Absynth,FM8,SampleMoog).

Im thinking of giving it a shot. Would be cool to control Moog VST's on my laptop
  13. I need the biggest Pedaltrain anyhow because of my Carl Martin Octaswitch. They should at least add Mark Bass, EHX, TC Electronics
  14. They haven't got Electro Harmonix?

Thanks a lot Do you think it's suitable for not to fast lead synth?
  16.
If it helps I have the Jazz version of this in red and have to say for the money (Mine was £139) they are a bargain! let alone with an SD : Come on someone this is a steal. No really!
Are they still on Ebay? Im not planning on buying one now, but maybe in the future in a different color than this one. Good luck with the sale though and sorry for hijacking your topic.

Anyone tried this bass to midi converter yet? http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~S...2M~ID~13223.asp
  18. got a reply yet ??
  19. I liked my Behringer Chorus better than my Boss Ceb-3 soundwise. The building quality of the Behringer isn't very good though.
  20. Yeah I've got much, much better results. I've said it before, probably on Talkbass, but this movie is really crappy and doesn't do the pedal right. I've got much better tracking results. If I were Signor Mark Bass I would ask this german webstore to remove this video Dont know if u heard them already, but here are some better sound samples;
Thanks squire. I didn't want to post the clips here and step on lapolpora's toes, as he said he was gonna do some... but maybe he's been busy, probably got better things to do than make silly noises! But here's what I've done: Finally got round to making some clips. In the first clip I run through the presets one by one. Markbass Super Synth Presets Demo Bear in mind that these are the unedited presets - I would probably tweak each one to suit the song or my playing style, especially the dynamics. Demos 1 - 9 are synth presets 1 - 9 Demos 10 - 12 are octaver presets 1 - 3 Apologies to all the fine musicians whose songs I've butchered Next are some random bits and pieces. Markbass Super Synth Stuff Demo one is a C major scale running down from C 3rd fret on the A string to C 1st fret on the B string, and using the open A and E strings. Next is the bare sound of one oscillator, filter wide open, no resonance, no envelope, no dynamics. C 3rd fret on A string. Third is all three oscillators, no detune. Fourth demo is all three oscillators, this time with osc 2 + 3 detuned - nice and phat! Demo five is a simple envelope controlling the filter, moderate attack and release. Demo six is a big ol' filter sweep - no attack, max release. Watch your speaker level for this Seven is me attempting to demonstrate how the tracking briefly plays the previous pitch. I play a high C (17th fret G string) then a low one (1st fret B string). On the low note you may briefly hear a blip at the beginning as the effect plays the higher note, then changes to the lower one a fraction of a second later. It's pretty quick - I repeat those notes again. Then the same again with the low note as C 3rd fret A string, then C 5th fret G string. It's not really noticeable on the higher notes. Finally I swap the original low and high notes. Again, the effect is not noticeable as the pedal can figure out the pitch of a high note much quicker than a low note. Next I solo the octaver tones. First note is my dry bass sound, C (3rd on the A again). Next is the Octave +1 tone on its own. Then the Octave -1, and finally the Octave -2. Next segment is all three octave tones at equal volume. Note that like the synth, you can't totally eliminate the dry bass sound! Last demo is the same with the dry bass mixed back in. I hope that gives you an idea what this pedal can do. If you have anything specific you want to hear, let me know. I'm not going to have much chance to play over the Christmas period, but I'll see what I can do.
21.
The Akai SB1 Deep Impact is very good, but like hens teeth now and can tend to be a little fragile. I run a full MIDI set up at home but have had endless hassles with the piezo transducers...still waitin' for replacements too.
I have the Super Synth and it really pleasures my synth needs. I recommend you to check it out at a store which let you check out the editing software too. But to each his own I don't really like the synth sounds in the V-Bass. Here is a thread on talkbass on a new pitch to midi converter. Although I really doubt if it will be any good. Tracking and latency will probably be an issue. 22.
I still haven't been able to download the software yet!!! I have registered the pedal on the Markbass site and tried four times, all unsuccessfully, to download the software. I have emailed MarkBass and they haven't replied so far. Has anyone else had this problem? The USB/editor facility is the MAJOR reason I bought this pedal (which, by the way, tracks better than the Akai Deep Impact which I also own and the Octavius Squeezer which I recently sold bacause of the LACK of an editor) so I am looking forward to Mark Bass getting back in touch with me....
If you are on a Windows PC, I can email you the software if you like.
  23. I still love playing with this pedal, but I'm quiet unlucky with the software to edit the sounds a bit more. I did manage to install the software and to control the presets and hear the difference realtime when I'm controlling the virtual knobs. But I'm not able to store the presets I make on the pedal. I can create a preset. But now I want to store it under Tone 8(USER) on preset 5 for example. Did anyone else tried this yet? I'm not sure if it's my incapableness or a bug in the software. Cheers.
