"SOLD"

That is as nice as a very nice thing. Another item to help with possible divorce...
2. String spacing - 17mm or 19mm?
3. Basschat is great, I have bought a fair bit of kit here. I have sold one set of kit and gave a donation (no email though - but may have been in early days) . I would be happy to subscribe. What are the costs of hosting and running site? what bandwidth are we using? should this data be available in the community?
4. Where are you based? any trades of interest?
5. Great job, these cabs are built to last from high quality materials. Will last another lifetime now.
6. As a physicist I would resort to the time honoured method... suck it and see. With experimental evidence of the real situation we can see which effects dominate. . Ahpook - how very, very hand-wavingly were you? A drop of 0.0001 Hz seems low from intuition - which can be very wrong. You are bang on about the potential complexity with possible transition from laminar to turbulent flow, We could also see cavitation as well. An interesting problem, good for final year degree project or a more qualitative A level investigation I guess.
7. UK mains transformer should not make any difference providing it is right specification - giving correct HT (B+) etc.
8. The offsetting makes cabinet shorter in vertical dimension and wider in horizontal. Cones closer together vertically, further apart horizontally. I will decline making comments on sonic performance, there are better qualified and experienced people who can.
9. What will the app do?
10.
It was fine. I'm still crap
A man who knows my bass playing - am still amazed what a difference 2.5mm makes (no references from other half here please). However am gradually getting used to narrower spacing. As others have mentioned - just put the time in.
11.
EDIT: Mind you, it'd give his local A&E staff something to chuckle about...
This does not bear thinking about - made me smile, now where is the relentless horsemeat probe
12. Has anyone seen Dave in the last few days. I am worried that he may be araldited to a Peavey bass combo and is trapped.
13. If you really must have the neck dive, get a narrow smooth strap and hang some fishing weights on the headstock. This should give the required neck dive
14. 1. 1977 Precision I had from new had the plastic gasket.
15.
Could you not cut a sheet of thin plastic to shape, spray over it, remove the tuner bushes and string guide, affix to the headstock with low tack double-sided sticky tape (avoiding the existing logo) and replace the hardware? Is something like this called an overlay? Or would that be silly?
Not silly, an excellent non-destructive idea. Could possibly be affixed with copydex (avoiding the logo).
16. Even with paddle necks etc, look at the cost. I have a (misguided?) wish to recapture my youth, Gibbo EB2 which is nuts money these days. The answer so far is s/h warwick rockbass streamer £100 + some diesel. Great neck, machines, pickups (hmm - weak). Will build own body later. Buy a bass, part it, mod it, is way cheaper at the moment.
17. A 'low' of bassists
18.
He could get a S/H German $$ for less than £500
Totally agree, then again my outlay s/h was about £160 - cheapskate I would not buy a new rockbass since as you rightly observe s/h German is in that price range.
19. You are wished luck and a good outcome.
20. Buy cheap lol, rockbass corvette, am just about to stick DiMarzio J bass pickups in mine. Cheap as chips so quality to £ ratio high.
21. Watch the cost, there is so much good s/h kit out and about the economics of 'self build' can become negative. You do of course get the bass you want.
22. You have shimmed nut under the G. Try putting a small wad of aluminium foil or a small length of electric cable outer insulation split in the nut G string slot. Might indicate if it is the nut height. I experienced a similar bass guitar problem, nut height was the cause.
23. Kramer DMZ4001 - vintage USA 1970s, aluminium neck, clarity of notes is amazing. DiMarzio pickup - huge outpiut. And the steal is they are about for sensible money. Might be Marmite though, I rate mine highly.
24.
I'm not really sure why i answered that question as i can't stand Mike Oldfield. His sodding Tubular Bells gets right up my nose and every girl i knew in the 70s had this dross in their record collection.
Stuff of my youth, 1970s, girls, tubular bells...................... Caravan, Camel, Wishbone Ash, Free, Deep Purple, Sabbath... enough reminiscing lol.
25.
Interested in a trade..? I have a CAPS LOCK KEY and an original Mars bar; any good..?
Is this the early caps lock key with the offset C text moulding or the later spaghetti text C? I am looking for a vintage caps lock key manufactured in December.
