IME the best way to get a good onstage sound is to use your backline to hear yourself and dont put any bass through the stage monitors,then you are in control.

Songs I have left bands for ,rather than play are Stray Cat Strut & Rock This Town.Both by the Stray Cats,and Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen. Leaving a band may be a little over the top but I would do it again.

My 50 odd year old upright has a nitro finish and its deffo a lot softer than a poly coating and is easy to mark, but it doesnt stain. However it does look beautiful.

Refering back the OP,I was told when I bought my 15" Scout combo that this is in fact the best amp ever.The salesman even proved his point by explaining how a mate of his sold his SVT/8x10 rig to get one of these. If you dont believe me go to PMT in Salford.Im sure they will tell you the same. BTW. I have never doubted him

Fishman Pro Platinum ,its the only one to get. 5 band EQ ,low cut filter,phase reverse,D.I,tuner out battery or phanton power,etc. You wont be sorry. I never gig without it.

Played bass on a Radio 1 record of the week,when Mark and Lard had a daytime show.They were easily impressed.

The Line 6 is by far the best wireless I have used ,and I have tried a few,Nady, Samson,AKG etc. Its licenced for Europe,where as the X2 is for US use. Been using one since they first came out and have never encounterd ANY interference probelms at all. RECOMMENDED

Certain pub gigs I do ask for a signature on a receipt,not a problem I say.But they dont half get shirty when I ask for acopy of it for my records(which are minimal ,to say the least)

A major chord has to have certain notes to actually BE a major chord,if it doesnt have those notes then it is something else. I think you are trying to kid yourself into thinking that you dont need theory.It wont work. BTW.Understanding theory and the ability to read music are two different things.

So,am I right in saying that if done properly it would be quite easy to reduce the tax you pay on your regular income by offsetting musical expenses from paid gigs? Double bass strings can be anything up to $220 and need to be changed about once a month!
