What would the value of a 62 Precision bass be ? It may have had an early refinish, apart from that its all original. Im tempted by one which seems a good price to me but Im no expert..

While JBG was in daipers there was a character lurking in music from the crossroads called Stag O lee or Stagger Lee or Stack O Lee , all one and the same person..I get the impression he was a bad type probably with some affiliation to the devil. His name crops up in rural blues, early country music , rockabilly etc. I dont think he ever got in the pop charts like Johnny did.

I played guitar in my first band..the bass player and I began as mates but it soon deteriorated as he was a f@@@ing nutter. Ended with him breaking the headstock off his Precision bass on my bonce mid gig. As was the norm in a 70s punk band it all kicked off and the local town hall got trashed. Thats when I knew it was safest to play a bigger instrument so I bought a double bass.. nobodies tried it on since .
