  1. Have heard good things about Lenspeed. Isn’t cheap but you don’t have the parcel force broken neck.
  2. Love that @RichT, I had been watching that same one on bass direct. Looks fantastic!
  3. Cheers! You could probably sell a few small ticket bits and this will still be around -crazy slow market at the moment.
  4. It’d be a single s/h high end bass, so the change from not being brand new would pay for a HB too. 😉 As so many have said, the quality of ‘mid-range’ instruments now is comparable to the high end of 30 years ago. Nobody really needs that high end instrument, but we do it because they are nice and usually it is simply because we can afford them. I’m a guitarist who has converted to bass, and have owned or played almost everything (in the guitar field, not basses) at some point; I currently have a midrange Eastman, alongside a handmade boutique build and a high end Gibson. I love all three, but the first two are the ‘better’ instruments. I’m already finding bass is much the same in terms of market quality and having had a couple of HB basses through the door in recent years -the only thing I have against them is boat anchor weight, otherwise absolutely cracking for the money.
  5. Cheers. It really is a cool one, sounds great, looks wicked. However, I’ve definitely realised I’m a shortscale guy (makes sense after 30 years of guitar). Had some interest and some interesting trade offers, really could do with some cash to go towards a new acoustic though, so hopefully it’ll go soon. 🤞
  6. Buyer had an unfortunate bill crop up so this is back up for sale. Roll up roll up, come and get a mighty fine orange thing.
  7. Had a few interesting trade offers, but nothing that I can’t live without yet. I’ve seen a nice acoustic for sale elsewhere, so hoping to raise funds for that more than anything. Also had a few questions about weight, so out came the kitchen scales. Was surprised to see this come in at 9lb 11oz, always thought it was closer to 8.5 (didn’t feel substantially heavier than a few of my guitars). What I’d say is it balances perfectly, no neck dive and feels a comfortable weight.
  8. Easy… Entrance: The Doors - The End Reflection: Radiohead - Anyone Can Play Guitar Taking me down: Stones - Sympathy for The Devil
  9. Agree with @Pea Turgh, a flat keyboard stand should do it. I keep an ac30 on one, and it does the trick nicely.
  10. T3 was a cracking guitar, I gigged one for a while. That said, the guitar market (more so than the bass market it seems) is so traditional and struggles with anything that isn’t a dyed in the wool Fender or Gibson.
  11. Keep seeing these advertised on the musiczoo or similar US website. They look ok, but there are so many other great offsets out there -do we need another? And for me, are they going to be any better than the uk makers such as Trent or Daniel’s? I’d imagine not.
