4. Heritage are assembled in the USA I think.
5. There is a misconception around the pure sky being a Timmy clone , the eq works the opposite. What's the sound like? Could you compare it to anything?
6. This is the little counterfeit http://www.amazon.co.uk/Andoer-Caline-CP-18-Overdrive-Electric/dp/B00DOSHKF8
7. Anyone tried one of these on bass yet? I've seen 1 for £20 gotta be worth a punt :-) Is there a lot of drop in bass with the normal xotic bb preamp vs the bb bass preamp?I know the ethics about clones with these types of post's...... So no need to go there ;-)
8. Tung sols as well for me ,lovely quality. Got mine from Hot Rox ,appear to be a little cheaper than watford valves
9. Beautiful :-)
10. Sorry if anyone was interested....... But having tweaked my ampeg rig with using the Bk3 as an always on effect at tonight's practice,I have found an absolute Amazing light grit tone that slots into the band perfect. It ain't going anywhere, sorry :-)
11. Go different if you're re tolexing it ......a nice red ,purple or Tweed :-)
12. £300!!! ....awsome price. I've only used the vba once before and would love to have one...... But thinking my svt is overkill this must be super overkill at 400w (valve) bowel destroyer
13. Nope you ain't alone :-D .......why its always good to have good gear.
14. Well I think that sucks! ....it takes all the magic and feel, the bass pounding on your chest, the energy! out of seeing a ferocious band live ,maybe I'm getting old or the newer generation are getting a bit to ....well Tweed? you might as well sit at home and watch MTV! Mettalica doing it doesn't surprise me..... They are just a panto band these days, trying to be mean and angry (very comical to me):-D
15. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=limelight+p+bass&prmd=ivns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi3u-r6zcLKAhUJVRQKHZUKBIAQ_AUIBigB#mhpiv=3
16. I've seen a PIC of a limelight 58 sunburst he has done in the past with a dime in the anodised guard. ( a Google search brings it up).hopefully he still does do sunburst?
17. A heavy metal gig with everyone wearing headphones???.......can never see that ever happening imo......plus how many kids play 18+ venues
18. Hahaha I just read that wrong ...."awsome bit of kit to ,much like you Dan" :-D ,-.
19. I always thought they sounded awsome and lovely as a recorded sound as well.....but after having 2 in the past I just could not get to grips with it in a live band mix ,I tweaked n tweaked and it always seemed to get lost in the mix in places :-( never had that with the VT
20.
Have you looked at Mark's website, classicandcoolguitars ? I see there's a LImelight for sale at the moment http://classicandcoo...t-custom-00161/ If I was just 20 miles away, I'd be popping around to take a look
I'd rather hang on till i'm closer to having the funds as i would feel to 'obliged' if i tried one if you know what i mean? Also there is something very odd looking to me having a MM pickup in a P bass
21. Also from a vain visual point a 12" cab looks mighty crap compared to a 4x10-8x10 on stage. Always handy to have extra meat.........I've played many an average sized venue where the pa has turned out to be pants, when I've been told "we don't put the bass through the pa" ,ideal to have POWER ;-)
22.
My current GAS favourite at Andy Baxter's is this: http://andybaxterbas...ils.php?id=1015
all this really isn't healthy for anyone viewing :-D
23. Oh my giddy aunt!....... That 58 sunburst is my all time dream bass :-) shame it ain't my dream price though, dang :-(
24. If that's the case then cool.....its a bit misleadingly seeing it plugged in that amp.
