ahhh I thought that was what their "juicy blue" overdrive was based on . Iv'e just started my first build (ROG ginger)....soldering the board was not as hard as i thought ,quite therapeutic ....i can understand getting the bug :-). different story with wiring the footswitch ,jacks, power and led :-D , There was no diagrams for that part so i winged it a little (n balls'd it up) i didn't put a resistor to the LED. gave up and ordered an easy connector board for the footswitch. pics soon.

Was it a standard or mod monkey? I preferred the standard myself .I found the best out of that pedal is the treble full and the bass just slightly off full ,gain at 10 and volume to suit......in a valve amp them settings were fantastic

The visuals of that looking glass look awsome , on my radar since NAMM now ( gaaasss) I didn't order the nobels after hearing construction/reliability issues..... I have the new sparkle drive mod inbound now ,it seems to be all I want from a tube screamer :-)

I recently purchased a pedaltrain mini from Julian........ Fantastic guy to trade with. Deal with confidence ,i would happily do so again :-)

Ive had a few monkeys (mod'd and stock ) thought they were ok.also had the Cm2 ,although it sounded great i had a real problem with the volume knob......... using it as a dirty stomp i wanted the volume slightly louder than my clean , at a slight turn the knob goes from to quite to too loud ( was why i sold it) Having gone through a few tubescreamer variants theNobel ODR-1 is really peaking my interest, John K (the highly regarded overdrive king ) over on talkbass is very very impressed with them (cheap as well £59 :-) [url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6TWdIEUZGE"]https://www.youtube....h?v=a6TWdIEUZGE[/url] ill be getting one on the weekend if anyone wants any feedback?

I don't know why but I always find myself floating back towards a tubescreamer type pedal,I don't have 1 atm and just noticed Bobby Vega demoning 1 of these on YouTube. Super price,obviously he is using very good equipment........ But it sounds quite nice with talks of no low end loss. Anyone had any experience with 1? Cheers guys. I've messaged VFE ,he said he has stopped making 3rd party designs now. But if he has all the components around he would be happy to make me a Ginger.I'm moderate with an iron and have looked at kit builds......might jump in the deep end?.

The Ginger and the bearfoot are 2 pedals I've never tried that I'm very interested in. I assume they are quite similar for low/med gain? What would be your recommendation for a always on out of the 2 .cheers man :-)Also is the VFE a special order?(can't see it on their site)
